COSTA MESA, Calif. Paul Crouch, the televangelist who built what's been called the world's largest Christian broadcasting network, has died. He was 79.
Crouch died at his home in California on Saturday after a decade-long fight with degenerative heart disease, his grandson, Brandon Crouch, told The Associated Press.
"He was an incredible businessman, entrepreneur, visionary; he built something that impacted the world," he said.
Trinity Broadcast Network had reported that Crouch fell ill and was taken to a hospital in October while visiting the network's facility in Colleyville, Texas. He later returned to California for continued treatment of "heart and related health issues."

“Too many people are depending on experience and using that to measure Scripture instead of using Scripture to measure their experience.”
Now there is a great tagline, mom. You hit it out of the ballpark.
Crouch’s golden thrones (as seen on his TV show) seemed to echo a certain self-aggrandizement found in Rome. Hmmm.
I don’t think it would fit but I’m sure it can be condensed easily enough.
Jesus had nowhere to lay His head.
Things that make you go hmmmm.....
P.S. To all I don’t agree with the “ARMINIAN” theology, but I do agree with the viewpoint of being a “DISPENSATIONAL FUTURIST”.....
P.P.S. that article was not written by me...
....other than that, Paul Crouch was a blasphemer and a false prophet, he certainly gave J. Smith and B. Young of the lds a run for their money as being America’s number 1 tool of Satan.
Servant of the Lord?
The Catholic Church and Mormons also teach that we are god or will become gods. They leave the impression that we are to become like God. In the Old Testament there is a word that is used where judges were called gods but its not the same.
AMEN. The best potential tagline I’ve ever read. Says it all.
The Catholic Church does not teach that we are to become gods. Where on earth did you get that falsehood?
We constantly strive for holiness in imitation of Jesus Christ, but doesn’t every Christian do that?
From the Catechism of the Catholic Church which teaches that.
CCC 460 The Word became flesh to make us "partakers of the divine nature": "For this is why the Word became man, and the Son of God became the Son of man: so that man, by entering into communion with the Word and thus receiving divine sonship, might become a son of God." "For the Son of God became man so that we might become God." "The only-begotten Son of God, wanting to make us sharers in his divinity, assumed our nature, so that he, made man, might make men gods."
And from the teaching of those the Catholic Church holds as their church fathers.
Saint Irenaeus
- Do we cast blame on him [God] because we were not made gods at our beginning, but first we were made men, then, in the end, gods? (Against Heresies 4, 38)
Clement of Alexandria
- Yea, I say, the Word of God became a man so that you might learn from a man how to become a god. Clement of Alexandria, Exhortation to the Greeks, 1.
Athanasius, bishop of Alexandria
- The Word was made flesh in order that we might be enabled to be made gods. . . . Just as the Lord, putting on the body, became a man, so also we men are both deified through his flesh, and henceforth inherit everlasting life. Athanasius, Against the Arians, 1.39, 3.39.
Hippolytus:
"He (man) is made God by water and the Holy Spirit after the regeneration of the laver."[ Discourse on the Holy Theophany, 8]
"Thy body shall be immortal and incorruptible as well as thy soul. For thou hast become God."[ Philosophoumena, X.34, quoted in Craig White (compiler), "Early Doctrines of the Eastern Churches".]
Ask and you shall receive....
Is that Dolly Parton’s Sister?
“businessman, entrepreneur, visionary
Servant of the Lord? “
Why you all askin’ me this? I never knew the guy or ever watched TBN. I just knew he was a TV preacher and he’s cashed in his chips.
I dunno. But her hair is bigger than the dome at Saint Peter’s.
“There are rules around here”.....and?
And I fixed it for ya.
Heaven help her if she goes out on a windy day.
That wind would catch her hair and just lift her up and blow her away.
That’s dangerous stuff there......
Not askin’, Morgana; I didn’t say it clearly enough, but Servant of the Lord should have been first among his credentials. It wasn’t, more’s the pity.
