Shouldn't the Pope worry more about teaching what Scripture says about what station of life you find yourself in? To be satisfied with where you are, not to covet?
Sounds like he is more about Socialism than anything else. All of this humility he displays is seems to be a cover for his views on social justice.

Interesting. But you forgot about the pervasive slavery. And yet why he wrote it is subject to varied interpretations, as is oftern the case with things Catholic, not just on our side.
