Megachurch pastor Rick Warren received criticism this week after posting a photo of a Chinese Red Guard on his Facebook page Monday.
The photo....showed a smiling worker in uniform for the Cultural Revolution, which was a social-political movement in China from 1966 to 1976. Millions of people died due to the impact of the revolution.
Along with the photo, Warren posted the caption, "The typical attitude of Saddleback Staff as they start work each day.”
“People often miss irony on the Internet. It’s a joke people! If you take this seriously, you really shouldn’t be following me!” Warren posted as a comment. “Did you know that, using Hebrew ironic humor, Jesus inserted several laugh lines — jokes — in the Sermon on the Mount? The self-righteous missed them all while the disciples were undoubtably giggling!”

In the eyes of God, Rick Warren is the Whore of Babylon. Read the Bible. We do not all fall as short as Rick does, who intentionally lies and misleads people and gets fat and rich, while watching his own son die of hopelessness.

I’ve read the Bible and I’m quite certain the Bible never says Rick Warren is the “Whore of Babylon”. Go ahead and make up whatever stuff you want, but please don’t say it’s in the Bible or pretend that it comes from God.

Um, Rick Warren needs to repent, not just apologize. Warren has become ‘all about me and my way or the highway’. He is not a servant of the Most High God, he is a showman, spewing opinion daily.
Someone with less hubris would have realized he made a mistake and apologized.

Give the guy points for being honest about his management style. He obviously runs the organization like a brutal dictator and viciously punishes any dissent.
