Before I am falsely accused of “making this personal” let me rephrase what I wrote:
Does any Protestant act differently then you just suggested the Church acts? Look at [any Protestant’s] posts [ever]. [They] insist Peter is not the Rock [or insist with no authority on any other issue] even when there are Protestants - scholars with real training in scripture that probably far exceeds any knowledge or training [they] will ever have - and yet [they] essentially dismiss them or the things they say as “crazy”. How is that any different than what you seem to be suggesting?
Don’t ALL Protestants act, de facto, a bit like “Dr. Martin Luther will have it so...”?

Meaning RCs reject as scholars any who disturb their cherished fantasy of a perpetuated Petrine papacy, and which includes RC . scholars.

If Martin Luther had never been, we would still say it because that is what Scripture says.
Some of us are not defending Catholic or Protestant....just Jesus...and that is what the verses mean.
I don’t know how someone in an all-consuming Catholic mind-set can ever be led to truth about it though except by God.
We can say it all day and all night but unless the Lord moves upon you to show you what we say is true, you will always believe that erroneous interpretation.
