Friends of ours adopted a special needs child (along with raising 5 biological children of their own) — it’s not an exaggeration to say that they saved this boy’s life. I have the highest respect for adoptive parents. Prayers offered for your friend and his son. I knew of a situation close to what you describe and believe it or not, when the boy turned 20 or 21, all those Christian values kicked in. It was like a complete transformation. He's almost 30 now and is a young man his parents are extremely proud of. May the same thing happen to your friend.

I work with someone who adopted a baby boy and raised him with much love. He always had problems because of his birth mother’s drug abuse during pregnancy and is now in jail for soliciting underage girls on the internet.
