“I’ve always believed that people are born with the predisposition to be homosexual,” quoting a statement he made on CNN. “My religion says [homosexuality is] a sin. But for me, I don’t” agree.

Translation: "Who am I to judge?"

News flash to Chris Christie: The cafeteria is closed. Since you do not believe ALL that the Catholic Church professes and believes YOU HAVE EXCOMMUNICATED YOURSELF. Don’t go around telling people you are Catholic.

Christ Christie = just another arrogant politician that knows better

Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Next he will be saying let the murders walk they were born that way .

I absolutely agree. Governor Christie makes himself, on top of everything else, a liar.

Plus he is confused about what the Church teaches. The Church teaches that to "be" a homosexual (for a man to experience a sexual attraction to men) is objectively disordered, but the cause of this disorder is open to continuing debate and in some cases strictly unknown. To the extent that the attraction is unwilled, it is not a sin in itself: it is a temptation to be rejected like any other temptation.

Neither does the Church say a person is obligated to change from homosexual to heterosexual. (That may, in some cases be impossible; and that which is impossible cannot be morally obligatory.) All that is required is that --- as a disciple of Christ --- one must abstain from homosexual sin (just as one must abstain from heterosexual sin.)

The faithful Catholic organization that provides spiritual support for homosexuals is called "Courage," and its aim is not reparative therapy or change of orientation, but living a chaste life in conformity to Christ.

My own view (as a faithful Catholic!) is that some kinds of "reparative therapy" are bogus and some are helpful. However I would not trust Christie or the APA to tell me which was which, since they both think the abominable sin of sodomy is a civil right.

Christie can always join the CINO club along with Pelosi and Biden.

Christie is in error. The Catholic Church does not say that a homosexual disposition is a sin; we say it is a disorder.

Surrendering to that disposition in deliberate thought, word and deed, is a sin.

It is our right --- and not only right, our duty --- to judge ideologies as good or evil; words as true or false; actions as virtuous or sinful. The only things you can't judge are a person's inner spiritual state or their eternal destiny (since, not being God, you can't know about such things.)

“My religion says [homosexuality is] a sin. But for me, I don’t” agree” Yeah, for sure!!!

As John wrote “I know your works; I know that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.” (Revelation 3:15-16)

The Catholic Church does not say that a homosexual disposition is a sin; we say it is a disorder.

Perhaps if we confused the bishops into thinking that homosexuals who wanted to change were actually illegal aliens they would have a big campaign in their favor from the pulpits.

No, they write it to pretend they have been banned. Probably think its funny when someone checks to see where they are from and see that.
