My older brother Bill is battling esophageal cancer which has moved into his stomach. He is in good spirits but I am beginning to think he is putting on a brave face for all of us. The red cross has brought my nephew Erin back from deployment in Korea for a visit and I planned to take them into Chicago for a day at Navy Pier yesterday but he wasn’t well enough for the trip. Please keep my big brother in your prayers today.
Praying the Lord gives your family all the strength they need to get through this. I will continue to pray every day for your brother and all of you. I wish there was something more I could do.

My wife went to visit Bill today and his white count came up high enough for him to get his last chemo treatment.

Thank you for the update. That is good news!
Bill has been putting up a good fight and his doctors believe that he is now cancer free however he has been in the ICU at Hines since Saturday fighting a lung infection. He is very weak and needs our continued prayers.
Prayers for all of those fighting illness during this Christmas Season, may they find relief from their suffering so that they too can experience the joy of Christ's birth.
