I guess this means I have a chance.

Of course, probably not, as I’ve stuck to my old missal, rubrics and mass for decades now.

Gee. I wonder whatever happened to the Legion of Decency?

the Bible says we believers are ALL saints. Would that make the Catholic appointed saints SUPER SAINTS? Somewhat a little lower than Christ but way above me?

No, it means that the Church recognizes him as someone whose status as a true disciple has been amply demonstrated.

It does not detract from any other believer.

Rather I see Christian believers as saints-in-learning in this life, that is really what the Bible meant. The Catholic Church means that this saint is home with God.

The Saints with a capital “S” have lives that have been extensively studied. You probably have known some extraordinarily holy people whose lives have not been examined in this formal way. They are still saints and God knows who they are. The “Saints” with a capital “S” are recognized formally so they can inspire us and we can appreciate that God’s grace at work in those who draw near to him.

Don’t worry about whether they are better than you or not. Didn’t God intend us all to be “a little lower than the angels”? We just have to let God lift us up to that place.
