It's July 1. On this date (July 1, 1829), 184 years ago, Joseph Smith "completed" the "translation" of the Book of Mormon.

Well...so says...Mormon "historians"...

Yet...
...if it was "completed"
...Why, about 4,000 revisions and changes in the Book of Mormon since then?
...Why would Mormon leaders and Mormon editors even go about changing -- post-published -- a so-called "completed" document if Joseph Smith was indeed "translating" directly from tablets by the Mormon god's power?

Here is the home page of this Web site: Hebrew Translation

Will typical "anti-Mormon" slurs be hurled vs. this Hebrew Web site for publishing this piece?

Rhetorical question, right?

Words have meanings.

an·ti (nt, -t)
n. pl. an·tis
A person who is opposed to something, such as a group, policy, proposal, or practice.
adj.
Opposed: “Douglas MacArthur had a coterie of worshipers, balanced off by an equal number . . . who were vehemently anti” (Joseph C. Harsch).
prep.
Opposed to; against.

he American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition copyright ©2000

Thus the correct meaning of Anti-Morman would bet to be against the policy or practice of the structure called morman.

What the colloquial meaning is to most that use it is of course quite different.

Because it’s a cult and not a Christian church which worships God and the Holy Word.

From the article: Doctrine 1) Title page: 1830: "by Joseph Smith, Jr., author and proprietor." Today: "translated by Joseph Smith, Jr."

Question: Why did Mormon leaders change the title page of the Book of Mormon, announcing Smith was the translator after Smith published that he was the "author and proprietor?"

And then...why didn't Mormon editors likewise change this in their other alleged "Scriptures" -- Doctrine & Covenants 24:1?

D&C 24:1 likewise announces who the real Book of Mormon author was -- not a Nephite; not Jews who took a spherical ball with holes in the bottom (I kid you not) across the ocean; not an angel; not God; but Joseph Smith! (D&C 24:1).

D&C 24:1: ”Behold, thou wast called and chosen to WRITE
[note: word “translate” is nowhere to be found]
[picking up the rest of D&C 24:1]: the Book of Mormon…”

Alexander Campbell published the first critique of the original Book of Mormon. His former assistant became one of the original Mormon founders, to Alexander’s consternation.

Why do you think the Mormon god's translating/editing power was so weak upon settling upon Smith?

What stands out as you read that?

Because the originals where destroyed when Moses threw them at the craven idol that the Jews had built.

Thus the correct meaning of Anti-Morman would bet to be against the policy or practice of the structure called morman.

I know of former homosexuals, and heterosexuals as well, who minister to homosexuals.

They are each "anti-homosexual agenda"...but they are "pro-the people" they reach out to...they are therefore for those people, because they want the ultimate good for them.

Likewise, being against the "ism" of Mormonism doesn't make someone "anti-Mormon" -- against the person. We want what's ultimately best for Mormons: Heaven and a relationship with the true Jesus!

“What really makes me laugh is anyone who had a question on anything got little personalized messages from God thru JS.

‘Oliver Cowdery has confusion on what color shirt to wear, JS goes to the Lord and the Lord’s will is revealed...”My son Oliver, hearken and hear and behold what I the Lord God shall say unto you, I the Lord God would have you wear the blue shirt, yea even the bluest shirt, you are my son and blessed are you that believe...” ‘

Once again, folks: the Book of Mormon...is...POPPYCOCK!

Repeatedly revised rewritten regloofered poppycock.

Why has the content of the Holy Bible been changed?
I think for the same reasons.

What contextual changes have been made to the Bible?

Can you list any that change any doctrinal meaning?

Why has the content of the Holy Bible been changed?

Which passages specifically have been changed. We have the manuscripts from which we have our translations and can easily go back and correct any mistakes/intentional errors.

So, which passages were not translated correctly?
