When I was a kid, holding up one’s hand and saying “on my honor” was the thing to do.
Did the vote result the way it did by dishonorable means?
Since a secret ballot is against BSA policy, the vote is invalid.
The entire executive committee should be thrown out.
But none of that’s going to happen, unless the executive committee is brought to court.
Who will do that?
Certainly not the Mormon leadership, who wanted to homosexualize the BSA.
Perhaps the Baptists?
I think that the Catholic crowd ought best to start local gatherings of the Catholic Scouts.

It reminds me of what I think happened with Obama’s election, and what he is doing with the presidency now.
The BSA is no longer the Boy Scouts of America.
It’s America scouting for boys.
They are already talking about homosexualizing the leadership.
You know, the BSA is now like the Rainbow Sash crowd. If any Rainbow Sash crowd or any Boy Scouts showed up for Holy Communion, I would not administer Holy Communion to them, for they are swearing to uphold the homosexualized Boy Scout Law, which is now about celebrating how great homosexuality is, against the natural law, the teaching of Scripture and the Church. The BSA has made itself enemies of the Church.

AWANA is for boys and girls. The younger-aged club is called SPARKS. As far as I know, the club is Evangelical.
If I were a Boy Scout, I wouldn’t hold my hand up for any reason. They’d be protecting my privates from the predators now sponsored by the BSA.
AWANA is for both boys and girls.
Any parent who allows their boy to remain in the Scouts is setting them up to be gay.
I just sent an email to the BSA leadership castigating them for their sick and perverted decision to join the evil legions of political correctness and telling them they will never receive another cent from me.
Of course, even though this will result in a massive decrease in donation income, in a year or two, their new queer masters will put out a news release announcing the transition has been highly successful, and that the BSA is prepared to move on to the next phase.... Allowing queer scoutmasters.
That election is over, how about focusing on the enduring politics and fellow travelers of homosexualizing the Boy Scouts and the military.
This whole gay agenda/Boy Scout decision puzzles me. I’ve never known a gay person who had the slightest interest in the outdoors. Maybe what we have here is an incremental push toward converting BSA into NAMBLA.
Kind of a crude way to say it, but the Chicken Hawk Patrol is always looking for young meat.
That is not what the Politically Correct groupies are thinking --- they just want to be 'correct' -- but that will be the net result and the end of the BSA.
The Chicken Hawks will have a feast, for a while, Scouting will die, and we will lose a wonderful institution that has helped millions of kids for the last 100 years to become responsible citizens.
I know my old Scout Master, one of the most wonderful persons I have ever known, is probably be rolling over in his grave right now.

Today is my “rant” day.
I am royally PO’ed about the Boy Scouts selling out.
I did not expect it. All my life the Boy Scouts has been special, and above all the other politics all around.
Today that changed. Today I am royally PO’ed.
And a bit fired up. Tomorrow I will move on.
And the Boy Scouts will begin to really, really shrink.
I will not help them now.
If there is a break in the organization with some retaining the old rules, I may help that group.
Lots of things can happen, and there are quite a lot of people out here today just like me. Moreso, because I am just incidentally impacted anymore.
But today is primarily for ranting.

The September report posted by the Huffington Post was published in collaboration with The American Independent. It called out Intel, UPS, United Way, Merck and others for contributing to an organization with a stated policy of banning homosexuals from membership.
The report came less than two months after the BSA affirmed its policy at the conclusion of a two-year examination of the issue by a committee of volunteers convened by national BSA leaders.
Along with UPS, Intel cut off its funding to the Scouts after the report. In December, Merck issued a statement saying it could not “continue to provide support to an organization with a policy that is contrary to one of our core beliefs.”
“We remain ready and willing to re-consider our funding position in the event that the BSA were to revise its policy,” the statement said.
The American Interest report said 23 of the top 50 corporate foundations, ranked by the Foundation Center in terms of total charitable giving, gave at least $10,000 each to the Boy Scouts in 2010.
Combined, they donated about $3.6 million.
Meanwhile, two prominent board members – including an adviser to the Obama White House – have stated their intent to change the policy, Randall Stephenson of AT&T, who is next in line to become BSA national chairman, and James Turley of Ernst & Young.
Last June, Turley vowed he “will work from within to seek a change” to the BSA policy.
“As I have done in leading Ernst & Young to being a most inclusive organization, I intend to continue to work from within the BSA board to actively encourage dialogue and sustainable progress,” Turley said.
Stephenson has been praised for publicly opposing the Boy Scouts’ policy and explained he would remain on the board, which he’s in line to lead in 2014, because he could have more influence.
Turley was nominated to President Obama’s Export Council in 2010, and has been a promoter of Obama’s economic policy.
Turley and his wife, Lynne, were guests at a state dinner hosted by President Obama for British Prime Minister David Cameron at the White House last March.

As with previous U.S. presidents going back to President William Howard Taft in 1910, Obama became the honorary president of the BSA shortly after taking office in 2009.
In a Super Bowl pre-game interview Sunday with CBS’s Scott Pelley, Obama affirmed the Boy Scouts should be open to “gays.”
