There is a difference in how you are told to personally treat someone and the rule of law in the land. Too many get it confused and think they can use government to abdicate responsibility tasked to them personally.

It’s not about the stranger, it’s about the law-breaker.

"We have 11 million hard-working, God-loving family individuals who contribute daily to the spiritual and economic well-being of our nation, waiting to step in"
Are you sure about that, Reverend?

Well, then. I guess I’d tell Jesus Christ that I wasn’t going to pay for his Welfare if he came into the country illegally, and I’d tell him to get the Hell out and to come back in legally.

I wonder how Jesus would feel about receiving stolen goods. Somehow I doubt these ersatz Christians would care to answer.

Hey rev... render unto Caesar... those borders are under the control of the LAWS of the US. If the laws had been followed... your mexican citizens would Never have been allowed in this country in the first place. You are no man of GOD rev.

So basically there is a ‘need’ to fill some pews in some churches in the US. Who was this welcoming the stranger Written to? More specifically, who was the stranger? No big surprise here as Christ Himself warned that deception would be the ‘big’ sign of His return. Oh what a tribulation the ignorant ‘christians’ are sowing for themselves in the name of Jesus.

Shouldn’t we just annex everything from the Rio Grande down to Cape Horn and call it a day?

Sometimes - like now - I wonder at the agenda of The Christian Post.
They seems to slant left a lot of times. How can they call some obscure latino group “Evangelical”? As if to portray all Evangelicals as pro-illegal?
The Christian Post is getting more suspicious. IMO

The word is NOT "stranger". The Hebrew word is Ger, which means "convert". The idea was that Jews should treat native Jews and converts equally. Left-wing "reverends" like Jim Wallis have perverted scripture to suit their own open-borders agenda.

Now the Good Samaritan only needs to call a social worker, who will sign up the traveller with the Roman Empire’s office of Bread, Circuses, Welfare, SNAP, heating assistance and free public housing.
It’s so easy to be a Good Samaritan!

Goofy concept, since it doesn’t take into consideration how some strangers treat other strangers in ways that Jesus would never treat anyone whether or not they were familiar to him or a stranger to him.

Millions of people have come to America seeking a better life.
They did so legally using the system set up for that purpose. They worked paid taxes, contributed to society.
What a slap in their face to grant amnesty to millions that came here ILLEGALLY and burdened our society.

illegals are not stragers, they are criminals and invaders.
How does one treat the theif who steals the college seat from a citizen or legal resident?
How does one treat the theif who steals the job from the citizen or legal resident by subverting the law?
This is no priest he is a pimp.

Remember that these people have their own country, and they are citizens of Mexico. If someone entered your home, and started using your stuff, I doubt your first inclination would be to welcome them. Even if you were friendly to them, why ask them to stay, even if they offered to do work around your home?
To: SeekAndFind
I completely disagree with the progressive, pro-Muslim, emergent church on their stand on this. They are just an arm of the democrat party.
No one should pay attention to them.
