I will be going up to a hospital in Portland, Thursday morning at 9:15 for what they call a ECV, Electrocardioversion. They put me out for 30 seconds and shock my heart, hopefully back into a normal rhythm. They have told me I should be on my way back home in four hours.
I've been dealing with atrial-fib and atrial flutter for several years. Hopefully this procedure will help me to feel 100 percent better.
I went through a femoral ablation several years ago which worked until this year, when one day I started coughing and sneezing and went back into A-fib.
Salvation, I would be absolutely honored and happy to pray for you today and throughout this ordeal. Stay strong and know we love you and care for you. Hugs, Mom

As a heart patient myself, I know these can be trying times. Had my first when I was 37 and have lived long past that.

Do you tend to have a tense back between your shoulder blades just a bit down from the center line?
I had Afib for a long time till I got my back adjusted at a Chiropractor. Did not believe in them, but when I got up from the adjustment my irregular beat was gone. For a few years when it came back I headed back to the chiro, now, no problems for over two years.
A minor nerve pinch on the nerve going to my heart was false triggering my heart.
Will remember to pray for you, Salvation.

A relative of mine was in the hospital with a similar condition and getting ECV. He has a physician who is open to non-traditional techniques, e.g., acupuncture, meditation, massage. He suggested trying therapeutic massage, even allowed the therapist to come to the hospital. (That surprised me.)
Anyway, apparently it helped. Having a massage every once in a while probably couldn’t hurt! Keep us posted!
