Mahatma Gandhi is quoted in his book, Gandhi: The Power of Pacifism, by Catherine Clement, as follows:

"While Hindus, Sikhs, Christians, Parsees and Jews, along with several million adherents of an animistic religion, all coexisted in relative harmony, one religion that would not accept compromise stood out from the rest: Islam."

Gandhi was referring to the experience during his lifetime in the Indian sub-continent, but the growth of Wahhabism and the current resurgence in Islamic triumphalism since Gandhi's death in January 1948 now poses an increasingly existential threat to the West, to Judeo-Christian civilization, as well as to Hindus, Buddhists, and members other faiths.

The question repeatedly posed by talking heads on the TV networks and cable television is how and why so many Muslims, young and old, are living in the West and enjoying all the material and educational benefits bestowed upon them -- and also committing hideous acts of terror and perpetrating atrocities upon innocent civilians, even against their very own neighbors.

The Times Square bombing attempt on May 1, 2010 by Pakistan-born Faisal Shahzad and the 2009 Fort Hood massacre of unarmed members of the military by Major Nidal Hasan (still described by the problematic U.S. administration as "workplace violence") are well-known. So too is the attempt at terrorism by a Somali immigrant, Mohamed Osman Mohamud, who had come to America at the age of five with his family as a refugee from the hell that is Somalia, and who attempted to kill thousands during a Christmas tree-lighting ceremony in Portland, Oregon. But until the Chechen Muslim brothers succeeded in their massacre at the Boston Marathon, most terror attacks had been thwarted since the 9/11 destruction of the Twin Towers and part of the Pentagon by the 19 Saudi Arabian hijackers, in which 3,000 people were murdered.

Historically, Islam has been spread by violence and coercion, especially in its early years. How else would a religion, founded in Saudi Arabia, spread all the way across N. Africa, through Spain and into France in approx. a century when travel was primitive?

If things ever came to a “tipping point” in this country where Muslims came to power and had risk-free control—I’m certain a huge number of the “silent majority” members of the community would be pouring forth from their mosques, slitting throats, raping, murdering and further subjugating the now powerless Infidels.

Don’t believe it? Get better read on the history between Islam and their neighbors; whether those neighbors are Westerners, Hindus, Buddhists or non Muslim Africans.

So few do for the same reason most "Christians" in this country don't give more than lip service to their beliefs. As long as going along to get along works Ok they do exactly that and their faith recedes into the background of their lives. When hard times, an emotional event, or someone who impresses them with their rhetoric, comes along, they start to try living according to their faith.

I knew Irish Protestants who became dedicated donors to the crowd who was shipping guns to Northern Ireland when they got roused up, but more often than not, Christians start to try become more charitable and better people when they start trying to live their Faith.

In the case of Mooze Lames, when they start to try and live their Faith they're easily led to killing infidels.

I'd say the "real question" is who in the area around Boston is preaching jihad at Friday prayers.

If this writer knew history, he could answer his own question. Hindu civilization, for all it’s faults, was well along during the time of the mudslime invasion. It didn’t matter that it was (relatively) rich and humane, the mudslimes destryed it anyway. Some people destroy for the mere sake of it.

So you have an anecdote from a sliver of an American muslim population, and I’ll guess they are older.

That is the least likely muslim population in the world to support terrorism.

Ask their sons, and support for terror rises. Ask any muslim outside America, and support for terror rises.

Get in their brains, and muslims virtually all support blowing up buses of women and children in Israel.

There are 57 islamic states in the world. I don’t know how many of them are “moderate” in their imposition of sharia, et al, but perhaps the answer is that;
A)Because many already live under a system they agree with and thus have no need to fight,
B)They aren’t yet a majority in those places where they would like to rule,
C)They are simply apathetic about what goes on in their name
D)There are already many others willing to fight and die for them.

These people I know CONDEMN the violence perpetrated int he name of Islam.

The problem is their very own principle of taqiyya. Lying to and deceiving the Infidel for the advancement of Islam is a duty, almost a sacrament. If they are not true Muslims but MINOs they may be truthful, but how do you tell the difference?
