I’m still not seeing any repenting. Peter didn’t have anything to repent for, Jesus asked if he loved him and Peter said “Yes”. Why do you think he had to repent?

Can’t you read beyond the literal words? Study, please.

In the words that Peter says about loving Christ — several ways — study the Greek — he repents.

The Christ tells him to tend his sheep, feed his sheep, feed his lambs — in other words, Christ makes Peter the leader of the apostles and the Catholic Church right there in the Bible.
