Can’t you read beyond the literal words? Study, please.

In the words that Peter says about loving Christ — several ways — study the Greek — he repents.

The Christ tells him to tend his sheep, feed his sheep, feed his lambs — in other words, Christ makes Peter the leader of the apostles and the Catholic Church right there in the Bible.

Study what? If the Greek says something different from "Do you love me?, Yes I do.", then tell me what it says.

It does? All the apostles were to feed the sheep and the lambs. Christ is the rock, Peter was just a stone off that rock, as was the rest of the apostles.

I don't even think Peter went to Rome. What's your evidence Peter went to Rome? Paul never mentions Peter being there. Paul went to Rome and the few Jews that were there said that they've never talked to a Christian before, and that was supposedly after Peter should have been there 10 years. I think Peter went to the tribes of Israel as he was instructed to do, in Jerusalem and Babylon, and Paul went to the gentiles, as he was instructed to do, in Rome. I think you guys have the whole thing mixed up.

Are you sure that wasn't Simon Magus, who was rebuked by Peter for trying to buy an Apostleship, that went to Rome and called himself "Simon Pater"? If you find that its been Simon Pater that you've been venerating all your life rather than Simon Peter, are you still going to claim Simon Peter is king? Remember Satan's MO, take the truth and change it slightly to confuse people, that's what Simon Magus did.
