Before now, I never understood the concept of a “Holy Father”. I do now.
Praise God!

I hope His Holiness is ready for the attacks already coming from obese leftists like Michael Moore, trying to tie him to the Argentine junta. May the Lord place a hand on his shoulder.

The telling glimpse to Pope Francis's moral core. Granite.
Of course there are other shafts that extend down a person,
such as views on the liturgy, the Roman Curia, relations with Islam, etal. But this glimpse is crucial.

not a Catholic, but am very pleased with this new Pope.
Pro-life for a Christian of any stripe is not an option, but a requirement.
May God bless and protect this humble servant of
Christ.

Clear as a bishop is one thing - clear as Bishop of Rome is another.
We’ll see what he does with Biden.

This is great news.
I’m not a Catholic, but I’m very pleased with the choice.

This will be confusing but Pope Francis will not be known as Pope Francis the First, a following pope who takes the name of Francis will be Francis the First.

Interesting that he does not say that Communion should be refused for anyone who takes a life.
I thought the Catholic Church had some things to say about forgiveness, as well.
Just some observations while so many single-issue folks enjoy venting their rage on their favorite topic.

Joe Biden shouldn’t be receiving Communion when he’s over there.

I’d love to see him deny Plugs Biden the holy Eucharist when he leads the WH delegation. That would be priceless.

Well, I guess the Kennedy Klan and the rest of the Democrat Baby-killing Vermin who allege they are Catholics will now go off and start their own church!

Now the story from a lot of posters is that no one in the Vatican knew who the Vice president of the United States is since he isn’t local to them, so some priest accidently gave him communion since he was just another lone guy in the crowd.
