I'm not Catholic, but I would like to see the Catholic Church pick a leader from a country where Christianity is persecuted. According to
Voice of the Martyrs the Philippines is a hostile nation.

Same here. Keep a close eye on what I would add is a 21st cardinal, not on that list: Raymond Burke. He could be a surprise choice.

I’m guessing Cardinal Tagle would be my kids’ favorite as well, due to charisma and youthful ambiance. But I’m afraid we traditionalists would be left behind in a puff of white smoke. I could be wrong.
