You will have to see it to believe it, and you can see it at The Queen James Bible - A Gay Bible. What I'm talking about is a new "Gay Bible" that was published in December 2012. The very people who put this abomination together have dubbed it The Queen James Bible. The name they have given it is based on two things. First, the text of the bible is the King James Version as it existed in 1769 (why that date is never explained).
Second, they argue that reputaby King James was a bisexual who had many gay lovers - hence, the Queen James Version.
This perverted "bible" is not a new translation, nor is it even a new paraphrase. Again, it is the King James Version. The only thing different about it is that those who published it simply rewrote the eight verses in the Old and New Testaments that specifically condemn homosexual behavior. The "bible" features a rainbow colored cross on the cover - the colors that have been adopted as the symbol of the LGBT Movement (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender). The paperback edition currently sells on Amazon.com for $34.95.
Clothed in Mystery
The background of the "bible" is mysterious. No publisher is identified, nor are any editors mentioned by name.

If they're so "proud" of what they have done and stand for, then why wouldn't the publisher and editors want to be identified? Very telling indeed.
I cannot even take the ASB or NLT translations. KJV only. My kids have NIV until they are a bit older and then I give them all a KJV.
All those “extreme student” translations also are not allowed in my home.
I bet Soros has some ties to this.
It was basically an attempt by Oxford printers to create a uniform version.
99% of KJV Bibles in print are the 1769 edition.
(2) King James did have a very questionable personal life. but he was not directly involved in doing the translating.
Homosexuality was well known in the ancient world. So there is no reason to believe that the original Greek and Hebrew texts would be vague or misleading.
Just another attempt to dictate morality to God.
I dare them to publish a Queen Muhammad Quran.
Any particular reason, or do you just feel like saying something nasty about him?
If the latter, why not stick with, y’know, facts?
Crap like this is why I post less and less on FR.
“King James did have a very questionable personal life. but he was not directly involved in doing the translating.”
Indeed. In retrospect, I wish they had named the translation something along the lines of “The Royal English Bible” or “The English Reformation Bible” instead. That way, it would take some focus off who happened to be the monarch at the time.
And the very same type of people want to rewrite The Constitution to fit their needs as they see fit. The truth isthe truth no matter how you try o twist it. Why can’t these idiot liberals see that?
Settle down, Frances. I didn't know you loved Soros so much.
While you settle down, consider the fact that Soros has pushed his agenda for an "open society" which includes gay marriage and using drugs. He's also funded some of the most radical far left groups ever. It would not surprise me if he back rolled this little project using one of front groups.
Because they’re like misbehaving children who think if they just close their eyes, other people won’t see them.
Kind of funny given the “Queen” James rumors.
I am waiting to see the KKV.
That’s the “King Kong Version” which omits all prohibitions against bestiality.
Just a couple of lines in Exodus and Deuteronomy.
Snip. Snip.
The Puritans and the Nonconformists did not fully embrace the KJV until after the Restoration.
The KJV is really "The Anglican Bible" since it was translated to be appealing to proto-High, Low and Broad Church factions in the C of E.
Andrewes (High), Rainolds (Low) and Barlow (Broad) were a very representative cross-section.
That was kind of low, and reinforces Xenalyte's point.
The typical left strategy is to accuse first and worry about little things like proof or details later.
Xenalyte's point (I think) is that a major reason for spending time on FR (for me, anyway) has been finding comments by posters about current events that reveal interesting facts and reasoned arguments ignored by the media outlets that are reporting on those events.
With tons of random posters who have no real information just shouting out hunches randomly with no supporting data, the site just gets less engaging and productive.
Well does this blasphemy allow us to pour into the streets and kill a few people or maybe attack an embassy or maybe a Broadway play, or tear up some throw pillows?
Seems the fags want to get into bed with the 6th century sand monkeys and make up a religion.
LOL!
Looking forward to that!
I don’t know why Christians are giving this air time. It’s like some of the works that have showed up in art galleries. It’s written by those who are deliberately trying to sling mud at the cross of Christ. And it’s talked about by atheistic jounalists who want a good laugh or to pour scorn on the moral values of the church. Is this anything new? This book is nothing but pornographic material in my mind.
No one’s going to buy this book. A few gays may buy it for a laugh but does anybody think they go to church? In the end it will go away-except for the judgment that awaits the person who wrote it. In due time their foot shall slip.
Officially, it is the “Authorized Version.”
The “King James” title evidently arouse informally and was adopted by convention; I don’t think it is considered an official title.
I grew up in the 60's and 70's when all this nonsense was really getting going. Remember the "Living" Bible? Kind of like the "Living" Constitution. A blank check for perversion.
