Dear Friends,
At this juncture, I must ask for your prayers on my behalf. Last Friday afternoon, while driving home from work I blacked out on I-95 and rear-ended the vehicle in front of me.
I was taken by ambulance to Laurel Regional Hospital and was admitted. During my three-day stay I had a head CT, a cervical MRI, an EEG, and a chest CT.
They finally released me at about three oclock this afternoon.
In light of the circumstances of this accident, I am coming to the conclusion that I should not drive anymore. No one was injured in this accident I couldnt live with myself if I caused serious injury or death to another person.

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)
Just about same time I rear ended a guy on the 605 but I’m marking it up to the fact that a three year old Dodge with ABS stops a whole lot shorter than a twenty three year old Thunderbird. Not giving up my license but I am investing in power disks for the ‘57 and the ‘60.
Thank God your OK.Will pray for you FRiend,(((((Hugs))))
I am very, very thankful that no lives were lost in that accident.
I salute you on making a hard and sad decision which appears to be a correct decision.
I will pray for you as you adjust to these changing circumstances in your life. And also for those around you as your change makes them change, however so slight, as well.
Prayers up, Conor, for both you and your family.
Ask your physician to do a long-term heart rhythm study. My mother-in-law had this happening. Dr did a week-long EKG type study-recording monitor on her. Turned out she had a heart arrhythmia. Heart would just stop. Pacemaker and she was fine, but took that to find the problem.
Good luck.
Can I have your Harley???
Good Lord forgive me CMN! A Little humor never hurts in serious situations like this...
Seriously, a humble Prayer for you in sorting this out.
A Merry Christmas too!
Conor, you are one of the good guys.
God has a further plan for you, which is why you are are here to start this thread and ask for prayer.
This will be a very special Christmas for you and yours, one full of thanksgiving.
Ask Him what comes next for you, and He will give you peace on the answer.
I am praying that the cause of the blackout can be determined. If it is because of an under lying medical issue , and not a one time thing, you will have your answer as to driving, in short order.
Better you make that decision than have it made for you.
When my dad was 81, it was time to take the keys. I told him he had driven 67 and had never had an accident that hurt anyone, but if he kept driving he would, and that would be a terrible way to end his driving career.
We gave his car to my nephew for free with the proviso that he drive my parents when they needed transportation.
This worked out to everyone’s advantage. Perhaps a similar arrangement might work for you.
Praying now for you.
Aye, prayers are sent.
May your heart be filled with peace about your future this season, my brother.
Prayers for you and your family, Merry Christmas, stay strong and be richly Blessed!
So very glad you weren’t injured Friday and were able to come home and be with your family for Christmas! Prayers for you and the Lord has you in his care.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Glad to hear you are doing well, hope it is nothing overly serious.
Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year to you and yours “DOC”.
Prayers to surround you dear friend.
I’m glad no one was injured.
Prayers for your good health, and thanks that this wasn’t worse than it was.
Prayers for your health; hope you are OK.
May the Saints and Angels guard you in every dimension: body, mind, spirit.
Post again from time to time to update us on how you're doing. It's always possible that this is a temporary, or manageable thing.
Bless you, Conor.
Glad you’re still with us!
