Yes.
And Eve wasn’t innocent, she chose sin and begat all in that sin.
But to whom was Mary truly united? To whom other than to the Lord Who espoused her?
Or do you think she was just the Lord's concubine? ...friends with benefits?
Such an espousal -- with the Lord --- could not be a quickie union, a short-lived, makeshift, hit-and-run hook-up. What is our God? A fly-by-night inseminator? How repugnant! God forbid such a thought!
Would He be less than faithful? Would He expect less than faithfulness? If he did, he would be less than Almighty God. He would be less, even, than a man!
Surely He says to the mother of His Child: "And I shall espouse thee to me without end; in rightfulness, and in justice, and in mercy, and in love." (Hosea 2:19)
Those who believed God knew for Centuries before Mary was born that Mary was going to agree, say yes...There is no way she could have said no since that would have made God a liar...
And I have no problem with that discussion but do we have to discuss Mary's most personal female parts for everyone to see on Free Republic?
My grandson is 11 and we're teaching him about conservatism, he does not need to see the word "h****" when he reads this website. He's too young for us to have to explain the definition.
God is not some magnified creature than anyone is going to surprise with an answer, God IS. Even though we have freewill, an omniscient God knows before the beginning of time what we will do.
Peace be with you.
However God's knowing, and God's making to happen, are two different things. God willed free will, it exists in every human, it is real, it involves our choice, in fact "choice" is commanded by God ("Choose ye!"), the choice is ours, and God's will is done by it. If we didn't have a choice, then all God said about "choose ye" is a lie.
“And you bury little idols in the ground to help you get a good price on your real estate...”
LOL
You know who buys those many times? Real estate agents who aren’t even Catholic. It’s considered superstition and I wouldn’t be asking my priest to bless it that’s for sure.
Just go ahead and drag that little straw man around, it’s all you’ve got.
Jean your beloved Mormons claim Mary had physical sex with one of their Mormon gods to get pregnant with their
Mormon jesus...
Does that insult you also ???
**Jesus wasnt making temporary lodging and travel arrangements**
LOL! I agree to that. But what about Joseph, were they going to live separate? He came with to the passover feast when Jesus Christ was 12, so I’m supposing that he had passed away.
In Matthew 1:25 (AFTER 7 verses have made it quite clear that this is Mary’s first experience with pregnancy) we are told that Jesus is her ‘firstborn’. Seems to me that the inspired writer knew that there were ‘kin’ around at the time of the writing, and that they would have taken issue with him writing “she brought forth her only child”.
Since I believe that Joseph “knew her not TILL she brought forth her firstborn son..”, and that the ‘brothers’ and ‘sisters’ were really his half brothers and half sisters, I think the Lord showed his wisdom in the commands given to his mother and John. John was obviously one of the closest, if not the closest of his disciples. By this decision, there would be no envy between the brothers and sisters about who was chosen to house and look after Mary. God’s wisdom also is showed in that these brothers and sisters are only alluded to, so as to not be treated as celebrities (for lack of a better word).
As power of attorney (the way it’s written), I have the legal authority to assign someone other than my siblings to look after my parents. Out of the three, I KNOW two of them would throw a fit if the other was chosen.
I will cease on the subject for now, though, since I’m already robbing myself of much needed rest. (in 6hrs the 18 wheeler must be rolling once again)
Mary is not an ordinary human being. The following excerpts from a widely published interview with Professor Salvatore Mancuso, the Head of the Dept. of Gynecology at the Univ. of Milan establish that physically, Mary was indeed part divine. Her body, like that of all mothers was colonized by embryonic stem cells of her fetus (Jesus).
More PAGAN GODDESS WORSHIP ! You accept the scribblings of a Seek YHvH in His WORD ! How sad.
shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach
created human being in Milano,
but reject YHvH's WORD.
Joseph is a descendant of David, but from a line cursed by YHvH. There are four things that are important about Miriam: 1. Miriam is a daughter who has no brothers 2. Joseph is descended from King David. 3. The inheritance exception granted for 4. Joseph and Miriam are married (each descended from King David)
I'm not sure where you found your understanding of scriptures.

and is descended from King David.
But he is from a line prohibited to inherit.
the daughters of Zelophehad
(These were daughters who had no brothers)
is in effect See:

thus providing Miriam with permanent inheritance
of the Kingship of David for her to pass on to her firstborn son: Yah'shua.
I think what said in #4 is probably right. Mary is a descendent of David, and is Jesus’ biological mother. Joseph is a descendant of David, and is Jesus’ legal father. So Jesus has both a legal pedigree and a blood relation to David, and the right to inherit his throne.

LOL, hardly. I worship God where ever and when ever I find Him. I pray that someday you find that ability.
Peace be with you

Exactly..
From the mouth of Jesus
Mat 12:46 While he was still speaking to the people, behold, his mother and his brothers stood outside, asking to speak to him.
Mat 12:47 Other ancient authorities insert verse 47, [Some one told him, “Your mother and your brothers are standing outside, asking to speak to you.”]
Mat 12:48 But he replied to the man who told him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?”
Mat 12:49 And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers!
This is only important if your salvation hinges on Mary’s sex life
That's no so, Rn, on two counts:
First, a thing can be important, even if it is not essential to one's salvation. For instance it is important to observe the Ten Commandments because they are part of God's word, even though flawless lifelong adherance to the commandments is not necessary for salvation.
Second, God Himself established the spiritual significance of childbearing. He placed a curse on the woman's reproductive capacities, making this a sign of the ongoing reign of sin. "To the woman he said, "I will make great your distress in childbearing; in pain will you bring forth children." (Gen 3:16)
It is a reasonable inference that if this reign of sin is ending, there will be signs of the lifting of this curse.
After the first sin, in Genesis, Adam is to bring forth bread by the sweat of his brow; the counter-sign of this is the wonderful multiplication of loaves by the Man born to the the Bread of Heaven.
Eve is to bring forth children by the pain and distress of her body; a counter-sign of this would be the Messiah's mother, the Kecharitomene, being free of bloody anguish in the wonderful conception and bringing forth of the Child who is Conqueror of sin and death.
LOL!
Eve, when she came into being, was fully human and without sin. She's --- at that point --- Primordial Eve. Innocent Eve. She didn't become guilty until she committed a transgression.
Before the sin, Innocent Eve 1.0 had a sound, unflawed human nature.
If Mary had a sin-scarred human nature, then she would have been inferior in nature to Eve.
It was not the Savior's intention to be born to, and therefore inherit the nature of, someone who was sin-scarred and inferior. It was his intention to be born to a woman who was "completely filled with grace" -- which was what the Archangel called Mary. In Greek, "Kecharitomene."(Luke 1:28)
He went on to say "Blessed art thou amoing women." (Luke 1:29). This does not indicate that Many had a sin-scarred nature, or that she was just a stunted, run-of-the-mill woman. It indicates that she was full of grace.
The title "Kecharitomene" indicates that she had an unscarred nature, just like Eve's was before the Fall.
This doesn't make her superhuman. It makes her human - like Eve was before she disfigured her nature by sinning.
