The root word for Mystery is knowledge. The root word for Babylon is knowledge. The tower of Babylon was the tower of knowledge. The foretold one-world religion will be based upon knowledge, a worshipping of that knowledge. The root word for science is... knowledge. The root word for technology is... knowledge. Scientism & technology are the nascent one-world religion of Mystery Babylon.

“Most of us think....”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Exactly the problem. Especially with you. One of FR’s biggest Catholic boasters.
IF there were “at least 12 posts a day” back in 2011, they were replies to the flame wars YOU and others were posting against “proddies”.
Where were you the other day when a good baptist boy sincerely posted a thread politely asking questions regarding Catholic practices? Evidently the heat (truth) got a little too hot and that “anti-Catholic” thread (huge sarcasm here) got deleted. This happens ALL THE TIME.
Look. The obvious truth is that Jim Rob and his religion moderators are Catholic. and as such... this is a pro-Catholic site.
Feel smug about it. Bash some Mormons also. I don’t mind. Just don’t re-fabricate the truth.
That ain’t “Rapture”!
That is the Second Coming of Christ.
Rapture was invented in the 1800’s.
It seems to me during the Second Coming of Christ, that He would set foot on earth rather than meeting the dead in Christ and remaining believers "in the clouds". The Second Coming of Christ is spoken of in greatest detail in Revelation 19:11-16, “I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. ‘He will rule them with an iron scepter.’ He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”
This is the Battle of Armageddon. The final battle in the Valley of Megiddo. But I wouldn't expect a Catholic to know this stuff, because I too was once a Catholic and know for a fact that the Bible is alien to most of them.
Mostly the long standing churches.
The Harlot is the Vatican, and the Daughters are most of the rest. Any ‘church’ that accepts good friday as the date of the crucifixion.
Hey Clown!
Can you site a Protestant authored book on the subject of Reveleations, that does not bash the Catholic Church?
Scott Hann is a convert to the Catholic Church and wrote “The Lamb’s Supper” AFTER his conversion.
Thus, it is NOT authored from a Protestant perspective.
What have you authored?
The problem with your assertion is that you site a passage in scripture, and then insert your opinion as to what it is, or what it refers to.
This has nothing to do with your aleged superior knowledge of Scripture.
Your presumption that as a Catholic, I’m unfamiliar with Scripture, simply reveals your bias.
“Prayer” is an analogical term.
People “pray for relief” in a lawsuit. They aren’t worshiping the court or the judge.
People “pray” to God for various reasons: Adoration, contrition, thanksgiving, and supplication.
People “pray” to Mary and other saints in order to give her DUE HONOR—i.e., NOT adoration. They also “pray” to Mary in order to ask for her intercession with Jesus. Exactly as they would ask a next-door neighbor to pray.
In other words, for the ten-trillionth time, CATHOLICS DO NOT WORSHIP MARY OR THE SAINTS.
Or do you think that Catholics SECRETLY worship Mary, and just try to cover this fact up by denying it in EVERY CATHOLIC CATECHISM AND CATHOLIC THEOLOGY TEXTBOOK EVER PUBLISHED?
After looking at all the posts here I am tempted to accept the Eastern Orthodox position on Revelation. ;-D
What does a presumption based on "20 books on a bookshelf" reveal?
This was written about the old Rome.
Are you familiar with the layout of Rome?
The Vatican is not one of the seven hills — they are on the other side of the Tiber. I seem to remember this from one of my Scrpture studies on the book of Revelation.
Mostly, your ignorance!
I have reviewed many more than those 20, which only serve as an example.
Thus, my assertion, is base upon a much larger sampling, that the “presumption” you assigned as my basis.
Have you located a Protestant author that does not bash the Catholic Church in the course of their presentation of Revelations?
These critiques of my assertion are mere smoke, without foundation.
Why should I when you have 20 of them?
I'll have a better answer as soon as I am off of the phone. The Vatican called.
