That's why I usually put the word “Protestant” in quotes. I reject the label because Catholics have used it pejoratively, calling everyone who isn't “Roman” Catholic a “protester”. Kinda like they do if someone uses the words, "Rome", "Roman" or "RC".

I prefer simply to be known as a Christian because I follow the Lord Jesus Christ - my savior, redeemer and God - as well as His teachings to His disciples as written in the divinely inspired Holy Scriptures. Even "non-Roman Catholic Christian" helps to differentiate. What REALLY matters is that the Lord knows those that are His and His own hear HIS voice and follow Him.

But, as the saying goes, "Call me anything but late for supper.". ;o)

All I protest is the yoke of slavery the RCC tries to impose on it's adherents

Not going back there again.

I'm free in Christ.

Indeed!

I'm always amused at those who want (demand!) to know what CHURCH I belong to.

It's so very obvious that they merely want to dig up some dirt about it and then try to make me waste my time defending it.

Homey don't play dat!

you say because I follow the Lord Jesus Christ - my savior, redeemer and God - as well as His teachings to His disciples as written in the divinely inspired Holy Scriptures.?

By what basis can you then say that the Swedenborgians are not?

Or Seventh Day Adventists?

Or Oneness Pentecostals?

Or even Mormons?

They say the same thing your post did..
