I have to admit, I have never watched Two and a Half Men, and never will. I hate sitcoms. Ive tried to watch other ones and found them to be rather unfunny; as a Christian myself I find the content worldly, over-sexualized and very distasteful, as are most programs on TV. But as an actor on the program, was Jones wrong for speaking out against it?

so what???? breaking contracts is all part of the big silly game Hollyweird plays (just ask Charlie Sheen). This so called brave young man in truth is nothing more than someone who pays lip service to his beliefs but denies them outright when the going gets tough.....bleeech
You're right, that was a bad analogy.
I should have cited Robert Tilton, Jimmy and Tammy Baker and Jimmy Swaggart as appropriate examples. Maybe even L. Ron Hubbard...........
or maybe this was a publicity stunt
You are right in that the show has been crude from the beginning - however, in the first season or two, it was clever.
Now it is just gross.
Sounds like we’re in agreement. I must admit that I do enjoy some crude humor. I like South Park and quite a few crude movies.
He better re-think his career—after he leaves the show he will have Zero chances of getting another job in Hollywood. Maybe he can do Christian TV or Talk Radio? Better go back to school and become a minister or something.
It is a free country. He can say whatever he chooses to and what happens next us his to deal with as he likes.
He should have saved up enough money to do as he pleases. Hopefully he, or his parents, were prudent with the money.
Yes it’s a free country. Would YOU publicly bash your employer?
I take it you’re not really familiar with the show...
LOL!
So it’s not about two men raising a boy?
So its not about two men raising a boy?

No, actually it’s not. Maybe you’re thinking of three men and a baby.
This show is about a loser with a kid leaching off, first his rich brother, and now a rich stranger. The kid is in the military now.
All three of the adult characters (Sheen, Kutcher and Cryer) are heterosexual sluts, obsessively so.
Yeah, that’s what I thought I’d heard about the show.
Look a bit deeper. One of the biggest objections - perhaps the biggest - to fag adoption is that chidren need to be raised in a home with a father and a mother. Isn’t it obvious Hollywood is painting a different picture for us?
It’s the same old “Murphy Brown” strategy. “See? Single moms do a wonderful job raising their sons.”
Hollywood knows that television bypasses rational thought and critical examination. It’s been well-known for decades that an audience will accept via cinematic fiction what they would reject outright if it were presented as stated argument. It’s the way our brains work, and it’s contstantly being used against us.
well, except for the fact, that in this show, the boy’s mother is still involved. A bit of a shrew perhaps, but not disconnected from the raising of her son.
Watch the show (if you can stomach it, I no longer could after the first season - the actual first season with Sheen), and I’d be really surprised if you can catch any undercurrent of preaching gay marriage at the viewer. I don’t think it’s there. JMO.
It would not matter in my case since I am the employer. I started my first company at age 14 and basically have never worked for anyone but myself.
[snip] Jones made the comments during a 15-minute-long sit down with spiritual mentor, and host of the online religious show ForeRunner Chronicles, Christopher Hudson who said to be impressed with the star’s testimonial about becoming a Seventh-Day Adventist — in which the actor also goes on a rant about the popular CBS sitcom. [snip]
I love the show, and have the first nine seasons on DVD. It’s a good idea to weigh perceptions of his sincerity against whether he keeps all the money he’s been paid for starring in the show for going-on-ten years. If he doesn’t, he’s just another Hollywood jackoff. If he donates it to this “Forerunner Chronicles” joker, file this whole thing under “Svengali”.

[snip] ...he said he lived a materialistic lifestyle, smoking marijuana and taking LSD. [/snip]
[snip] “The summer of senior year, I started doing acid, Jones says on the now-viral video. This drug could change the world ... if this was legal, everyone would be different. [/snip]
[snip] “I apologize if my remarks reflect me showing indifference to and disrespect of my colleagues and a lack of appreciation of the extraordinary opportunity of which I have been blessed,” he said. “I never intended that.” [/snip]
Jew-hating and 9/11 ‘Truther’ drug addict Charlie Sheen, who much more famously showed indifference and disrespect to his colleagues after spending some years as one of the highest-paid ciphers in show biz, has, of course defended Angus.
