well, except for the fact, that in this show, the boy’s mother is still involved. A bit of a shrew perhaps, but not disconnected from the raising of her son.

Watch the show (if you can stomach it, I no longer could after the first season - the actual first season with Sheen), and I’d be really surprised if you can catch any undercurrent of preaching gay marriage at the viewer. I don’t think it’s there. JMO.

That's just the point. If their agenda were obvious, everyone would notice, warning flags would go up, people would discuss and debate the question. (If Hollywood could achieve its aims that way, there would be fewer sitcoms and more televised debates.)

But when the subject of "two men raising a boy" comes up in the context of fag adoption, the image of this "family" crops up in the back of your mind as probably the only example you've ever known.

We all draw heavily on our experiences. The subtle and powerful influence of cinema (movies, TV, etc.) is in planting faux experiences in our memories and emotions.
