I have just received this sad communication from my sister-in-law about her sister, Sarah, who is suffering from breast cancer. She had been admitted to an acute care center in El Paso where she was to continue radiation and chemo, but has been returned to the hospital. (More in comments section.)
I pray for God’s Peace that defies human understanding for you that makes you wonder how can I have this peace; yet feel my very heart has been ripped out. It’s HIS LOVE speaking to you. We grieve so deeply because we love so deeply - you/I know what that is like. We are all together in this, potlatch.

SUNRISE
W.C. Poole/B.D. Ackley
When I shall come to the end of my way
When I shall rest at the close of lifes day
When welcome home I shall hear Jesus say
Oh, that will be sunrise for me
Sunrise tomorrow, Sunrise tomorrow
Sunrise in glory is waiting for me
Sunrise tomorrow, Sunrise tomorrow
Sunrise with Jesus for eternity
When in His beauty I see the great King
Join with the ransomed His praises to sing
When I shall join them my tributes to bring
O that will be sunrise for me
When life is over and daylight has past
And in Heaven’s harbor my anchor is cast
Then Ill see Jesus my Savior at last
Oh, that will be sunrise for me
Sunrise tomorrow, Sunrise tomorrow
Sunrise in glory is waiting for me
Sunrise tomorrow, Sunrise tomorrow
Sunrise with Jesus for eternity
Thank you for letting us know that everyone arrived on time.
The following prayer has helped me in the past with a passing of loved ones.
God our Father,
Your power brings us to birth,
Your providence guides our lives,
and by Your command we return to dust.
Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray in hope for my family,
relatives and friends,
and for all the dead known to You alone.
In company with Christ,
Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom,
where all our tears are wiped away.
Unite us together again in one family,
'The Lion of Judah cometh. Hallelujah. Gloria Patri, Filio et Spiritui Sancto.'
Dear FRiends,
Sarah passed into eternal life peacefully at 5:01 this morning. She was surrounded by the love of her family and those afar, whose love knows no distance. She walked the beautiful, shining road of prayer whose golden way her spiritual friends at Free Republic paved for her with the promises of our Lord’s Own Word. We can rest assured that the loving embrace of her earthly family yielded gently to the joyful embrace of her eternal One.
Go, with God, Sarah! Fly!
On behalf of Sarah’s loved ones, I return to you in prayerful thanks their utmost gratitude and mine. God bless and keep you all!
Rest in peace, dear Sarah. You will be missed.
Sending prayers of strength to Sarah’s family and friends. floralamiss, thank you for all the updates. (((floralamiss)))
BTTT
God bless you all.
G-d gave Sarah the strength she needed to stay here on earth until her loved ones could arrive at her side. Praise His name! Welcome her into Your Kingdom.
Heaven’s newest Angel! May Her Rest In Eternal Peace! Our heartfelt condolences to family and friends.
Her family got there safely to see their sweet sister. “5” is the number for God’s grace. Sarah is HOME, she beat us there/those of us who remain. Thank you, floralamiss, for allowing us to be apart of Sarah’s life here.
Prayers for Sarah and her family. May God give them all His grace and strength.
My condolences to you and the family on your loss. May she rest in peace.
Thanks, Sal... not only for your prayers and kind thoughts, but for your gift of laughter and your way with words.
Occasionally, I’d zip over to your forum posts to give myself a gentle laugh and more than a few fits of the giggles. Sad tears became tears of laughter. The picture of the Doberman and your words about grabbing its tail cracked me up. And, of course, that ol’ Alice feller is always on my top-ten list.
After my visits, I’d return to thoughts of Sarah, refreshed and with a smile on my face, wishing I could send your funny, off-the-wall comments over to her guestbook, so she and her sisters could enjoy a good howl.
Thanks, Salamander, and God bless.
Good, ol’ E.G.C. God love you!
RIP Sarah.
