Father Bernard Lynch, a homosexual Catholic priest and activist known for defying Vatican teachings, has once again challenged the Roman Catholic Church by revealing that he has been married to a man for the past 14 years. Lynch also blames teachings on celibacy for the child sex abuse cases gripping the Catholic Church.

Abraham obviously earn the right to be called 'father' of many nations, as we are given his progeny..... get that progeny, meaning he had 'sex' legitimately. These priest Fathers are NOT biologically allowed to produce squat. Using their sex organ to self satisfy their own perverted need is NOT of the Heavenly Father.
Could we be honest. The claim of the 'church' is that it is the first and only representative of God the Father. Why do people need to diminish the culpability of an evil vile sin against the Creator by then co-mingling peoples who are considered heretics of the first order?
So you get to call someone “Father” if he has sex “legitimately”? So illegitimate children shouldn’t call the ones who fathered them “father”?
I did NOT change Abram to Abraham meaning 'father of many nations'. I love the Heavenly Father and am trying my best to follow His Word not those that in their egos attempt to claim they are Him in flesh bodies. Funny you should mention illegitimate children, as it was a church going Catholic that I was at his home when he branded a young child a 'bastard'. It was not more than a couple of years later that his own only son fathered a so called 'bastard' child to carry on that family name, and that only son of his was killed in an auto accident on the way to his grandfather's funeral. To this date I have wondered if this practicing Catholic calls his own grandson a 'bastard'.
“not those that in their egos attempt to claim they are Him(the Heavenly Father) in their flesh bodies”
Please tell me you don’t think Catholic priests claim they are God the Father in the flesh.
There is no other possible logical explanation as to why any flesh being could call or consider a flesh being 'holy' father. It is idol worship centered around a 'church', and the absolute rejection of 'sola scripture' to white wash a religion. I know what I speak of I have married into a liberal Catholic family. Talk about splitting hairs and I know exactly what I am thought of and about because I am not a branded Catholic. I could write volumes about my personal experiences with weekly mass attending Catholics.
“There is no other possible logical explanation as to why any flesh being could call or consider a flesh being ‘holy’ father.”
So “Holy Father” being nothing more than a respectful term for the Pope isn’t logical?
“So what else are you going to do after 8 years of school, only to realize you can not be celibate??? Throw away the 8 years of your life or try to live a secret life and continue on with the religion??? “
Repent?
Seriously, suppose you went to medical school and then discovered your hands shake too much to pursue your specialty. Or you go to law school and discover you freak out in the courtroom. Or you get teaching degree and discover you can’t control a classroom full of children.
You realize you can’t cut it and maybe do something in a similar line or whatever, but not the same thing. What a silly question.
The RC church doesn’t “owe” a man a priesthood!
God created all souls. He did NOT establish a vehicle wherein He needs a flesh being to establish anything for Him. He sent His Son, Christ, Emmanuel, which means God with us, without need to have a filtration system to speak for HIM. The pope is a man fabricated position that is not in alignment with 'sola scripture'. God gave each and every soul a brain, intellect, and He and He alone judges the status of that soul/intellect/spirit.
Christ Himself said call no man 'Father', as in spiritual elevation of representation of The Creator. But since the beginning flesh has always needed to do things better. I cannot have a Biblical conversation with Catholics as they hide behind an object call the church as the only path to heaven. I do find it amusing to hear them roar about old Luther, and wonder what their reaction would be if Luther was there opening the door to heaven for their return....
This world is at the abyss of evil and on marches the traditions of men no matter their division... And as Christ Himself said these things need be.
That you can presume the worst about others says far more about you than others. The only person you really know about and can judge is you. I do find it interesting that on that basis alone you believe so many others are sexual abusers.
Peace be with you
Pretty good evidence you weren't ever really Catholic to begin with.
Peace be with you.

I doubt that the celibacy rule is "responsible" for causing child sex abuse. That doesn't make sense. If priests were going to violate celibacy, they could do it with an adult woman too.
What may happen though is that the rule causes a self-selection process among men who became priests. Men who are not attracted to women or interested in marriage may think the priesthood is where they fit in. But those men are more likely to have these perverse desires that they may or may not be trying to suppress. So if there was no celibacy rule, you might get more priests overall due to more married heterosexual priests, but not necessarily less pedophiles. The percentage of pedophiles would be down but only due to the same number of them being part of a larger pool.
There is no such thing a ‘forced celibacy’ in the Catholic Church. Priesthood is completely voluntary. Anyone who studies to become a priest knows full well what the teaching is regarding priestly celibacy, LONG before ordination. If you don’t want to be celibate, no problem; don’t become a priest.
Considering the fact that less than 2% of priests have even been accused of child abuse, and that's about par with other men in this country, I don't see how celibacy could be the issue here. And if a priest is in a homosexual relationship, he's not trying to be celibate, anyway.
Exactly.
That makes way too much sense for today’s average liberal to understand.
Then the decision could be left to the individual priest whether to marry or not.
“God ... (does not need) to have a filtration system to speak for HIM.”
So I take it you don’t go to a church because the minister would be a filtration system speaking for God, right? With 40,000 Christian denominations and constantly splitting more and more, I would think any Christian, Catholic or not would eventually think: Isn’t there one person of final authority and unity to settle these endless disputes over scriptures, doctrines and divisions?
“that they may all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be one in us, that the world may believe that you sent me.” - John 17:22
“one”, not 40,000. Notice that at the end of the scripture, Jesus said one of the main reasons many in the world don’t believe in Him is because of the endless divisions among Christians.
