There is no such thing a ‘forced celibacy’ in the Catholic Church. Priesthood is completely voluntary. Anyone who studies to become a priest knows full well what the teaching is regarding priestly celibacy, LONG before ordination. If you don’t want to be celibate, no problem; don’t become a priest.

Then the decision could be left to the individual priest whether to marry or not.
