Turns my stomach. It does sound like a witches coven. Nothing Roman Catholic at all about this meeting.

Occasionally, in my casual reading of history, I've come across vague accounts of medieval religious dabbling in witchcraft and suffering the consequences from the local authorities. Due to this vagueness, I've been forced to imagine what specifically they were up to.

Thanks to these ladies, I no longer need to imagine.

Furthermore, she proclaimed, the LCWR members were just the kind of people to lead humanity to this breakthrough because of their “evolutionary capacities”

Doesn't their failure to reproduce make them, ipso facto, irrelevant to evolution? I mean, if you want to see evolution happening, visit my house - I have some kids that we don't even know what species they are.

Link to a video of Hubbard. I made it to about 3:30 minute mark. Pure nutcase!

Hubbard's words (frankly, like much discourse today) remind me of the "Banquet at Belbury" of That Hideous Strength. Remember the words Merlin pronounced upon the gathering: Qui Verbum Dei contempserunt, eis auferetur etiam verbum hominis." [They that have despised the word of God,from them shall the word of man also be taken away.]

The "curse of Babel" is clearly not complete in Hubbard and her ilk -- individual words are still recognizable, just the totality is gibberish.

Faith and reason really are inextricably tied!
