The Reflections of Brigham Young on the Nature of Man and the State [What Mitt's profs taught him]
BYU Studies ^ | 1962 | J. Keith Melville

Posted on 07/05/2012 7:41:04 PM PDT by Colofornian

The pre-mortal period is a period of organization, growth, and purposeful development...This organization of the spirits from the "intelligence" which is co-eternal with God is for the express purpose of exaltation, to become "Gods like himself..."...

...Brigham Young said:...The Lord has organized mankind for the purpose of increasing in that intelligence and truth...until he is capable of creating worlds on worlds, and becoming gods...Believing that "the power of choice of all intelligent inherit from the Gods of eternity...is innate."...

...Complete independence of action is an attribution of deity, and only those most valiant during their probation on earth who will be crowned as gods in the Celestial Kingdom will be unfettered.

Mormonism discovered in the individual a god in embryo: a being whose essence is progression and whose eternal existence as an intelligence demands freedom...

...From the human position he pragmatically accepted the constitutional justification of slavery. He also justified Negro servitude as a penalty resulting from the violation of the cosmic system of law. He believed that the curse began with Cain because Cain denied Abel his earthly posterity. Instead of killing Cain, the Lord placed a mark on him and his posterity, withholding the priesthood from the negroes until "all the other descendants of Adam have received the promises and enjoyed the blessings of the priesthood thereof." This curse was perpetuated through the lineage of Ham into the post-diluvian period, and Brigham Young accepted the additional curse of Ham's posterity to be the "servants of servants" until God decrees elsewise...

I’m just hoping that if we can put pressure on members of congress, that might control him a bit.

GOP members of congress will unanimously resist Obama proposals, but some GOP members of congress will join with Democrats to support Romney proposals. That is just one of the many reasons that I will be voting against Romney.

I think I’ve lost hope after the Roberts ruling on Obamacare. I’m still in shock and still very much angry.

One thing I’ve been seeing on Facebook that’s upsetting, whether the Catholic priests know it or not, is the use of the Mormon Jesus and the priests are sharing this photo around. I don’’t think they are aware of its origins but for them to pass the photo around and people clicking on it and liking it is upsetting.

As for other Inmans complaining about attacks on Mitt, I say keep it coming. I may vote for him but I won’t back down on critizing his religion and how it will effect his performance as president.

People need to know the truth, period. If Romney gets in and back flips as usuall, his faith will be the biggest reason.

I know the GOP is spineless. I can’t sugar coat Romney other than he’s a slower poison to take. I need something, a plan. What do I tell my kids? Should I start packing up and find a new country? I don’t like the idea of giving up.

Leaving little barry bastard commie in office means retaining his unJustice department, the myriad of czars, and too many of his socialist regulators in place to continue the destruction. Sorry, I'm voting to remove the commie from power. Then I'm going to hound the liberal replacement like stink on poop, to try and herd him int he direction of rebuilding America.

As much as I despise Romney for his perfidies, he is the alternative to a commie destroyer remaining in power, so I'm going to vote for the liberal over the affirmative action, crack smopkin', sexual degenerate, illegal commie. your 'millage' may vary of course, while we're still free to vote by our informed choice.

Does anyone know what ever happen to Obama’s youth army? I don’t remember if it passed or not but When Obama first got into office he wanted the old and young to be forced into his volunteer army. Did that ever pass?
