Pray For Our American Heroes and Our Nation

The Whole Armor of God

10. Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17. and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.

Our Father In Heaven
Hallowed Be Your Name.
We Lift Up Our Nation To You Today.
We Ask that You lead Us and Guide Us,
And Grant Your Precious Wisdom to Our Nation's Leaders.
We Ask Particularly that You Inspire Our People,
During this Election Year.
Give back the desire for integrity and honesty in our dealings.
We ask that You open the eyes of our Nation regarding the true character of the current administration.
Please, we Pray, Give Us Godly Leadership, and Bring All Truth to light.
For Our Battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces that we can't battle alone.
We Can't survive without You, LORD.
We pray for Our Nations Economy.
We pray for those without jobs, that You will bring back Our Nation's Productivity and Initiative.
We ask You to help find dignified and appropriate work for those who seek it.
We pray for Our Free Enterprise System, that it will not be submerged in outmoded and discredited socialism.
Father, We Pray for Our Beloved American Heroes and Their Families.
We Pray for Strong and Godly Wisdom to Guide Us.
Touch Every American's Heart,
So That Each and Every One Will Say A Prayer For Our American Heroes,
Lifting Them and Their families up in Prayer and Support,
Let Nobody Forget Their Sacrifice For our Freedom!
Keep Us Vigilant, In Jesus Name.

For Our Beloved Troops

Our Father,
Who Art In Heaven,
Blessed and Hallowed Be Your Most Holy Name!
You Are My Refuge and my Strength,
My very Present Help In Times Of trouble.
Your Are The One Who trains My Hands For War,
and Comforts My Heart in times of Stress.
You Are My Rock and My Redeemer,
My Strength and My Song,
My Fortress and My High Tower,
My Sword and My Shield.

Trust Me
March 29, 2012

When I was a little girl, my aunt and uncle took me to Lake Michigan. While some of my cousins ventured far out into the waves, I played close to shore. Then my Uncle Norm asked me, “Can you swim?” “No,” I admitted. “Don’t worry,” he said. “I’ll take you out there.” “But it’s too deep,” I protested. “Just hang on to me,” he assured me. “Do you trust me?” Then I took his hand and we began to walk farther out into the lake.

When my feet couldn’t touch the bottom anymore, Uncle Norm held me up and reassured me, “I’ve got you. I’ve got you.” Then finally he said, “Okay, let your feet down. You can stand here.” I was afraid because I thought we were still in deep water, but I trusted him and happily discovered that I was standing on a sandbar.

Have you ever been in so much despair that you felt as if you were sinking in deep water? The difficulties of life can be oppressive. God doesn’t promise that we will escape the turbulent seas of life, but He does promise, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Heb. 13:5).

We can trust our faithful God to be there in all of our struggles. “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you” (Isa. 43:2).

God, give me the faith of a little child! A faith that will look to Thee— That never will falter and never fail, But follow Thee trustingly. —Showerman

Before your burden overcomes you, trust God to put His arms underneath you.
