We on the other hand have full access to the words of God We Christians (Catholics, Pentecostals, Lutherans, Anglicans, Baptists etc.) look to the Bible as our scripture. If some other groups say they have full access to the words of allah, well that's their own problem...

Thanks be to God for whatever is worthy, but like me, it is a work in need of much progress.

the Word comes first and we read and pray over the Word together, dont we? Why not ponder over what our forebears also thought of the Word? Their thoughts are crystalized on paper so we can see what they thought and prayed over. The WORD stands on its own. AND if through the generations 'fathers' pick and pluck the word here and their to create a whole new religion then the WORD is left in the trash heap of history when the whole world needs that standard the most.

We’re talking at cross-purposes. Tell me this — when you pray over the written Word, do you do it alone or in a community?

to create a whole new religion -- that's what many of those who wanted to keep Christianity a sect of Judaism said. That's what many who said "let's leave Jesus as a super-prophet" said.
