Mocking Mormonism is one of the last frontiers of verbal lawlessness to be untouched by the vigilante powers of political correctness. What other group is ridiculed equally by Christians and secularistsand not just any kind of Christian or secularist but the most fervent and hard core? Fervent Christians see in Mormonism a mirror distorting their own faith, reflecting an image strangely recognizable yet recognizably strange. Hard-core secularists think Mormonism is the best example of the strangeness and danger inherent in all religious belief. Deriding Mormonism pulls off the neat trick of making the devout and the godless feel as if they are on the same side.

While Christians are called to display good works as a result of their conversion, many other non-Christians display good behavior as well. Therefore, outward behavior can’t be the sole criterion for confirming if one is a Christian.
Beliefs really do matter. There are many wonderful people who are very devout and sincere in their beliefs, but many are sincerely wrong. There is absolute Truth, and any teaching that is contrary to Biblical Truth is wrong. Mormonism teaches many things that contrast from Biblical Truth.
JAKraig has never actually denied being Mormon himself has he?
He has been posting for Mormonism here since 2005, it may be that he prefers to speak from behind his wife’s skirts, notice how he lauds the strength of her faith, her religious devotion, her, her, her, etc, but is timid and slippery about his own, yet doing all this while posting a lot of Mormon teachings and arguments.
Seven years of Mormon defending, but always (supposedly) denying his own unnamed faith and always supposedly speaking for the invisible, nonpresent, woman.
Like I posted to elsie, then what about galatians 1:6 8 and 9 contains the exact same thing. You may be ticky tacky right about the verse being incorrect but the admonition is true and was laid down in both OT and NT. Are you just saying that revelations is incorrect for the premise or that the premise is wrong?
I agree with your apparent conclusion.
You think she's hot now............
I am no youngster. I have met and supped with the likes of Harlan Sanders, Bob Hope, Both presidents Bush and many other really great people and some not so great people. Not one of them out shines my wonderful wife. She loves me despite my religious views and beliefs. After the Love of the Savior I am most thankful for her love. She, despite whatever is said here is a fine Christian woman. Perhaps no body on this earth is really qualified to make that statement, but, I am the closest to being qualified to make that statement and it is true! If my wife is not a Christian then there are no Christians.
In all that rambling, you mention her love for you but not once did you say you loved her. And not to share the truth with her is also telling.
Sad, sad, sad...
If you read my original post to faucetman on the topic, you’ll see that I agree that there is a prohibition on adding to the Gospel. I just don’t like it when people mis-cite that verse from Revelation as justification for that argument. There are better verses, as you have cited, that serve the purpose, so there is no need to twist the one from Revelation to fit.
“Did Christ lie when He stated that upon His return, the whole world would know?”
But, can’t you see that the whole world WILL know, just as soon as the LDS patrol can bicycle across the planet and let everyone know the good news? PROPHECY FULFILLED!!!! /sarc
Are you still USING here to protect the MORMON Empire?
Shame!
Are you still USING her to protect the MORMON Empire?
Shame!

Huge difference The Catholic Church was the only Christian church for 1500 years be it Roman Catholicism or Orthodox Catholicism that much is true, we all worship the same Jesus we get the Nicene Creed from the Roman Catholic Church. Protestants feel the counsel of Trent was where it all went south, but there is no denying of Christ’ Divinity or of the Holy Trinity God the Father God the Son God the Holy Spirit are all one. Catholic know Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the of the Virgin Mary. Catholics don’t teach Jesus and Satan are brothers.
Amen Amen Amen!!!
You’re a liar. Would you like to explain LDS inc teaching on ‘eternal progression’? ... This should be an interesting pretzel to read!
Were you married in the Mormon Temple?
That was a well written article.
Thanks for posting.
Perhaps your wife isn’t a temple Mormon maybe a milk before meat Mormon? Maybe she doesn’t know the true teachings of Mormonism? Perhaps she isn’t aware of many changes “make it up as they go along” to the Doctrine and Covenants?
What does that have to do with post 67?
I must have accidently replied to the wrong post I’m sorry
