Do you want me to provide you with a list of anti Mormon books, DVD’s, pamphlets, documentaries, workshops, seminars, tapes, CD’s

Please.

(And links would be nice, too) :)

I suspect that the anti Mormons who consistently post on this site are benefiting financially from it.

'Tween you and Resty telling me how lucrative this is, you're tempting me.

How much do you think I could make if I got a biz like this off the ground?

Well, Sandy at least you have an out if the lds god changes his mind again, like the last three or four times on this issue. How so very convenient.

The Lord’s law of marriage is monogamy unless he commands otherwise to help establish the House of Israel (see Encyclopedia of Mormonism Vol. 3, pp. 1091-1095).

I bet that Beach Boys song, “Surf City” that has the phrase, “two girls for every boy” was popular with the Mormons back in the 1960s!

No. For a time, two was the bare minimum standard. To show that you were a man of financial flare, you had to have at least three and courting a fourth.

If a society is to survive, in it individuals must form families and have children at rate higher than 2 per couple. The polygamists are not suicidal. Our culture? Suicidal so it seems.

Allow me to provide another example to you.

The area of "Short Creek" has been an active polygamous site going back to at least the 1870s. [This is the twin polygamous communities of Hildale, UT and Colorado City, AZ...just across the border from each other]

To hear you tell it, these two small communities should be thriving metropolitan areas by now if polygamy was producing all these "extra" children.

But again. The number of children per most fLDS women is actually less than what many LDS women in their 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s have had!

And a significant swath of boys & teens who grew up in those areas were "booted" out of those communities -- deemed as unwanted "competition" for older men claiming teen "brides."

Now it is true that the child-bearing rate among Lds women in their 20s has dropped significantly. But, hey, they can't find marriageable Mormon men.

For every 3 Mormon women in Utah, there's only 2 Mormon men. 2 self-identified Mormon men, that is...IOW, they are "ex-Mormon." It's not that Mormon families are producing an overwhelming number of more girls than boys.

For more on this development, see this article posted just this week: New study confirms many LDS stereotypes [Lds church bloats stats; men defecting @ high rates]

nuff said........Sandy these are not anti-mromonISM sites (except the youtube, but it is a MTC recording) they are lds sites. Linking to these, will expose the non-Biblical nature of mormonISM.
Thanks for the links.

And I find it funny that whenever someone challenges Mormonism’s beliefs you get all huffy and say people are anti-Mormon. You cannot defend your belief in Mormonism. You want people to go to Mormon sites to prove your belief? Circular reasoning there Saundra. I don’t need literature from your so-called anti-Mormon ravings and rantings. Mormonism condemns itself from its own writings. Mormonism is not Christian no matter how much you invoke Jesus Christ and Savior and all that because the Jesus of the Book of Mormon and LDS teachings IS NOT THE JESUS OF THE BIBLE. Mormonism is a counterfeit.

I respect and highly regard the honest rebuke by facts that you have provided, that rebuke shows my prior ignorance of the actual conditions accrued under Mormon or Mormon-wanna-be polygamy.

Well, you've earned my respect as well.

You are a humble enough person to admit and profess when the facts bear out something counter to your previous stated opinion.

That takes somebody willing to allow their pride to take a small dive -- something mine has had to absorb too many times.

I appreciate your forthrightness.

Those are very interesting facts as well. It makes me wonder what is the true rate of growth in Muslim populations where polygamy is widespread.

Another good site is Utah Lighthouse Ministry. Headed up by Sandra Tanner.
During the white salamander episode in the 1980’s. The Tanners said that the talking white salamander was a fabrication while the LDS church said it was true.

Just forget that they Baptize, celebrate Christmas and Easter etc, they repent their sins, they believe Jesus died on the cross for our sins, they use both the Old & New Testament and are generally peaceful productive people...

Making a habit of declaring someone who believes they are a Christian to not be a “True Christian” isn’t something you want started. First the Mormons, then the Methodists and Catholics - pretty soon whatever version of faith you practice is slandered as not really true Christianity.

I’m sure those folks that knew Jesus Christ 2000 years ago wouldn’t recognize anything about modern day Christianity.

Myself - I won’t be amongst the horde to cast a stone in their direction. You people might want to study your own Bible more thoroughly on the topic of judging and condemning your neighbors.

For those that post these silly polygamy threads, I notice you never post a polygamy thread about Islamic Polygamy, Why is that?

When you post a thread saying Moses was a horrible person for having practiced polygamy then maybe I’ll start paying attention to these disgusting threads.

My theory on these threads is they are posted by DailyKOs Trolls as subterfuge. For the life of me I don’t know why our admins haven’t figured it out.

Merry Christmas.

Cut and paste queen alert!

"Do you want me to provide you..."

YES!!

I've been waiting for you to provide the PROOF for quite some time.

Are you offering to provide it on this thread?

I won't hold my breath.

Just forget that they Baptize,

For the dead, not Biblical.

celebrate Christmas and Easter etc,

The lds celebrate J Smith's birthday more fervently than the birth of the Biblical Christ. Their Easter celebrations are only if they don't interfere with the yearly conference.

they repent their sins,

lds repent, then must work for salvation. The Biblical Salvation is by Grace.

they believe Jesus died on the cross for our sins

lds say the the price was pain in the garden not on the Cross

they use both the Old & New Testament

And lds say it is not translated correctly so the BofM must be used.

and are generally peaceful productive people...

And they are deceived.

About the muslims, why don't you post something about them and then we can comment. For instance showing how J Smith said he would be the next mohammad, and how for several decades now they have been patterning together for various issues, because they leaders of both see similarities between their beliefs.

Is that all Morg apologist can do, yell “pack of lies”, give some revised history about something totally irrelevant and never provide a shred of proof to their accusations?

I hope Colofornian doesn’t quite their day job on the advice of a couple of mormons who are convinced there is money in opposing the church. I know of plenty of “lay clergy” making a killing in the church.

Anti-mormon publishing could never compete with Deseret Publishers.

Saundra and restornu needs to quit with the personal attacks and address the questions in a logical manner. No praying for spirits to tell us the truth.

Well they don't anymore. Just during the eighties until the government figured out that the Salamander Letter was forged.
And the guy that forged it was a bomber and a forger.

That's when they quit believing the talking white salamander.

It almost became doctrine.
