A notoriously 'gay-friendly' parish in San Francisco has invited an openly homosexual Episcopalian cleric to lead an Advent Vespers service.
Most Holy Redeemer parish asked Bishop Otis Charles, a retired Episcopalian prelate, to lead the November 30 service. After serving as the Bishop of Utah from 1971 to 1993, he publicly announced that he is homosexual. Divorced from the mother of his 5 children, he solemnized a same-sex union in 2004.
But say, how do you participate in blood???
Would that be the same as the way you participate in a Kawasaki Motorcycle??? Or participate in a Crescent Wrench???
Now that is pure baloney!
Unfortunately, biblical ignorance begets inaccurate interpretation which in turn begets false doctrine. The result is deception....and deception is not of the Lord Jesus Christ. There is no way at all that Christians have "replaced" Israel or you're going to have ignore and completely discount the vast promises God has made to Israel which were NOT conditional. Not to mention pretty much the entire book of Revelations, Isaiah, Romans, Hebrews and others.
People who adhere to "replacement theology" time and again go down a very slippery slope ...and on their way twist and squirm themselves into a pretzel attempting to make the scriptures "fit" their theology. In doing so they insult God beyond measure. ......
...Because God tells us His covenant... that gives Israelthe physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacobthe land of promise will last FOREVER: "He is the LORD our God; His judgments are in all the earth. ...He remembers HIS COVENANT FOREVER, the word which He commanded, for a thousand generations, the covenant which He made with Abraham, and HIS OATH to Isaac, and confirmed it to Jacob for a STATUTE, to Israel as an EVERLASTING COVENANT, saying, To you I will give the land of Canaan as the allotment of your inheritance" (Ps. 105:711). God could not have made Himself any clearer.
At least this is what Christians believe and have for 2,000 years since we received this teaching from the Apostles.
And you believe Mary is God's mother...So what???
And you always have to add extra 'junk' to your statements...
Christians didn't believe that nonsense for 2000 years...No one believed what you guys believe until your religion made this stuff up and left the 'church' to start your own religion and that wasn't 2000 years ago...
If Jesus no longer had any blood but he can make some up for you whenever you wave the magic wand, Jesus could also have provided the Mormons with their bibles...
Your religion is built on human (natural man) logic...
I would even venture saying most who do this or claim such are not following the Spirit of God. There is much "drama" surrounding these claims and practices and attention given the party, usually a religious leader or specific individual. The individual is often held in great honor and it is the honor received which is their motive for claiming such "power". This is also heavily present in cults and false religions where leaders or those in charge claim this "power" and while preying on peoples emotions and or their desire for something miraculous to occur...."a sign" if you will.
7What then? Israel failed to obtain what it was seeking. The elect obtained it, but the rest were hardened, 8as it is written,
"God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that would not see and ears that would not hear, down to this very day."
9And David says,
"Let their table become a snare and a trap, a stumbling block and a retribution for them; 10let their eyes be darkened so that they cannot see, and bend their backs forever."
11So I ask, did they stumble in order that they might fall? By no means! Rather through their trespass salvation has come to the Gentiles, so as to make Israel jealous. 12Now if their trespass means riches for the world, and if their failure means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their full inclusion mean!
13Now I am speaking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch then as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry 14in order somehow to make my fellow Jews jealous, and thus save some of them. 15For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead? 16 If the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, so is the whole lump, and if the root is holy, so are the branches.
17But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, 18do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you. 19Then you will say, "Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in." 20That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fear. 21For if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you. 22Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but Gods kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off. 23And even they, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God has the power to graft them in again. 24For if you were cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be grafted back into their own olive tree.
25 Lest you be wise in your own sight, I want you to understand this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written,
"The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob"; 27"and this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins."
28As regards the gospel, they are enemies of God for your sake. But as regards election, they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers. 29For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. 30For just as you were at one time disobedient to God but now have received mercy because of their disobedience, 31so they too have now been disobedient in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may now receive mercy. 32For God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all.
Colossians 1:13-14
That sword appears to be mighty big for you...Slicing it thru the air like that, you must be bleedin' all over the place...
Amen! and Amen!
I was thinking the same thing but don't your religious people teach other that Jesus died once but continues to die (once) every day of every year???
hint: it has nothing to do with DNA.
hint 2 : read Galatians 3:29.
There you go cutting yourself again...
What was the promise Paul was referring to???
Out of 33,000 verses of scripture in the bible, you've narrowed it down to one verse to pick your doctrine from...God apparently wasted a lot of ink...
Given the responses on this thread, I have to wonder.
If you are unilaterally banning exorcism prayers, then how about unilaterally banning the charges of demonism, witchcraft, seances, occult activity — those certainly evoke a need for exorcism prayers on my part; clear flame bait, apparently.
Your consideration is appreciated. Hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving.
I believe the RM. I see no reason for him to lie.
This should prove interesting. Quite a perceptive question.
When all you have is the god in the mirror, you have to protest very loudly in order to hide it from everyone else.
Jesus is the rock on which the church, His body comprised of believers throughout the ages, is built.
Do you believe that Paul was lying when he told us that the Church is the pillar and foundation of Truth? Or is that redacted from your Bible too?
Given the amazing amount of Scripture that your side dispenses with, we're not sure that you listen to anyone else other than the guy in the mirror.
Hmm, more pagan practices. Only pagans rebaptize.
The NT gives the timeline until it ends, and then Church history picks it up. I'm sorry if you don't like the obvious conclusion that those who make it all up as they go along are not Christian.
Jesus, of course. Not the ravings of someone in their cups making it all up as they go along.
We simply discount the interpretation of those who would corrupt scripture to attempt to make it mean something different than it does.
I know you are. Doesn't change the fact that you are wrong.
So by that are you admitting that the vicar in Rome is truly your god since that is who you listen to?
The vicar is the dude that is here, until Jesus comes again. Exactly as Jesus meant it to be. You don't have to like it; that is immaterial to me. We look at the Pope in the same light as we look at Peter in early Acts. No more, and certainly, no less.
