Very much so. The changes in the Mass after Vatican II were jarring enough without the mistranslations of the Latin text. I'm a traditional conservative Catholic. These changes, and a renewed interest in and utilization of the Latin Mass are most welcome. Now if we could just get altar rails back and eliminate Communion in the hand. we'd be getting somewhere!

Bumping. Looks very interesting. I can hardly wait, and I hope it is well received here.

I am still frustrated about getting a new missal. I ordered a “new” missal, and they sent me the old one. I returned it and ordered another. It is still on back order. Grrrr. Luckily, our church has supplied a slim paperback version tucked into the backs of our hymnals. I guess that will have to do for now.

We had 2 homilies on the changes. Some minor changes in wording for the congregation and more for the Priest.

It follows the Latin more closely.

I feel that we are missing the solemnity of the pre_vatican Mass in Latin.

Most of the active priests have never said the Mass in Latin. I feel that all Catholics should experience a Mass said in Latin.

I am glad to be able to participate in Mass and receive Him in Holy Communion.

Like my life, which, when I little, started with the old Latin mass, grew up with the at present mass, coming now into mid-life with the soon-to-be-updated changes. Looking forward to the English-speaking RC Church coming into its spiritual springtime.

At my parish, the first weekend of Advent, at all the Sunday masses, there will be what will be called “special instruction” masses in which, while my parish my pastor will do the mass and 1st deacon, (my parish has two deacons) will do special introduction to the new English words changes intructions.
