This is in response to "People should learn about Mormons before criticizing." This is absolutely true and I have done just that. I am a Christian and have many Mormon friends, family and neighbors that I choose to love in spite of our differences. Just because Jesus Christ's name is on the church doesn't mean it's the same Jesus I worship. Gordon B. Hinckley, on June 6, 1998, in Geneva, Switzerland had stated that Mormons do not believe in the traditional Christ. They believe that Jesus is our elder brother.
Brigham Young stated on Feb. 8,1857 that the god of "this" world had sexual relations with Mary and fathered Jesus.
Traditional Christians have been criticized for centuries for their beliefs, so Mormons must accept the fact that they worship a different Jesus. I suggest they read the Bible and see the difference. Read Isaiah 14:14. In this country we have religious freedom to believe in many gods, no god or Yahweh (the everlasting God).

No doubt God would differ with you as he did the rich young man...
And just by whose standards do you determine is the right way to act in order to "act" as their judge and jury?
This nation has been "One Nation UNDER GOD" since it's inception....but now as it turns it's back to God we find the business and political structure of our nation fall into the hands of corrupt individuals with no sense of right or wrong or standards...rather how to maneuver around these without getting caught.
Not to mention the historical fact any time nations turn their back on God they are invaded by barbarians of one form or another...and not always militarily. We have been watching this unfold in our nation to the point where now those who threaten to destroy the nation are welcomed and encouraged to come in
Do you honestly truly believe therefore ones religious standards do not come to bare on the issues and the position this nation is in now?..Perhaps you need to look again at history and the facts that will support we are in further decline then most would care to see....
Short, to the point, and factual
Your 1859 quote is a complete distortion and mis-statement of the LDS’s church doctrine that salvation comes through the atoning sacrifice of Christ which included the shedding of his blood. Any attempt to represent that sentence as truly descriptive of LDS doctrine - past or present - is either deliberately or ignorantly false.
People can disagree, but let’s have at least some intellectual honesty here.
... the LDS church’s doctrine which is that salvation...
But very Pro Christian cause!
You are seeking to float your deceptions even in that post, so I doubt you even know what honesty is. 1859 is near the founding of your new religion. Your peepstone sexual predator of married women made many assertions in his teaching which established your new anti-Christian religion, so the quotes from the early ‘church’ are as valid a those made by the late Hinckley. Would like a few of those exposed also?
“Mormons worship a different jesus”
Yes, my Jesus is different from the author of the article. My Jesus accepts me, loves me, died for me to save me from my sins; my Jesus is my Advocate with the Father; my Jesus is my Savior, He is able to save; He is my Redeemer and Best Friend and I love Him with all my heart.
Their Jesus is mean, condemning, small, puny and powerless to save me.
Yes, I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I worship a different Jesus, apparently.
...therefore leaving themselves open to being baited and witched to all maner of false belifs and practices.
The New Age Spirituality is always waiting on the sidelines to scoop these people up once they've been deceived by mormonism....interesting is many in cults and false religions have had time within the mormon church before they fall into the cults etc.
Among the various groups of people practicing so-called polygamy, they do have children with Down syndrome. However, they generally don’t have them photographed with the rest of the children in an attempt to portray a healthy image to the public.
However, in addition to a normal incidence of Down syndrome, the FLDS group experiences a significant percentage of a debilitating birth defect known as Fumarase Deficiency—due to intermarriage within a closed community.

Indeed you do... and this according to your former President who stated exactly that. He made it very clear the Christian Jesus is not the same as the Mormon Jesus.
Spot on MHGinTN!
There you will see the "Law of Consecration" that is frequently sworn in the temples by "worthy" mormons, including Mitt Romney.
Do you think he will put an earthly Oath of Office above his vow to consecrate "everything you have or will have to the building up of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints"?
I see nothing "admirable" in THIS "value" when in his mind it regards his eternal soul and chance to become god of his own planet.

Gal 5:12 ὄφελον καὶ ἀποκόψονται οἱ ἀναστατοῦντες ὑμᾶς. ophelon kai apokopsontai hoi anastatountes humas
..........................................
G3785 ὄφελον (ophelon) - I ought (wish), i.e. (interjection) oh that!;
Etymology: first person singular of a past tense of G3784;
KJV: would (to God).
................................
G609 ἀποκόπτω (apokoptō)
- to amputate;
- reflexively (by irony) to mutilate (the privy parts);
Etymology: from G575 and G2875;
KJV: cut off. Compare G2699.
.........................................
G2532 καί (kai)
- and, also, even, so then, too, etc.;
- often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words;
Etymology: apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force;
KJV: and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet.
G387 ἀναστατόω (anastatoō)
- properly, to drive out of home, i.e. (by implication) to disturb (literally or figuratively);
Etymology: from a derivative of G450 (in the sense of removal);
KJV: trouble, turn upside down, make an uproar.
So an apostle, a prophet of the LDS who spoke directly with the gods was lying or were the gods wrong?
Or is a prophet just not what it used to be....
ROTFL...spoken by a mormon who, in all likelihood spent two solid years doing nothing but dedicating himself to the anti-Christian cause of a mormon mission.
Elsie, where is that chart of "missionary rules"?
Indeed, time for some honesty JTT. Mormon salvation/atonement means ONLY that a person now will be resurrected and given a body.
Anything further - such as progression to 'godhood'- requires a life where you have purged all sin away and remain sinless as well as perform/follow numerous laws and ordinances.
Any less from a mormon is intellectually dishonest.
Talk to us about this "Jesus" SD
Jesus had to earn his godhood
Jesus was just one of billions of other spirit children begotten by Elohiem and his goddess wives.
His blood alone is insufficient to remove all sin and keep those he has saved from sin
Jesus had to be married to multiple women
Jesus who became just one of a plethora of gods and goddesses inhabiting the universe.
Jesus who supposedly killed tens of thousands SOMEWHERE here in the Americas while he was in the tomb
Or are we talking about the mormon 'jesus' Woops, or are we talking about the mormon Jesus instead.
Actually I was in Denmark for 30 months, 1960-63. Greatest time of my life while suddenly learning the truth. I was very surprised to find that all the members drank Light Pilsner which was about 2.5%. Whew, what a relief! Almost the same as Utah beer but church legal. (in Denmark)
Don't get me wrong. I worked very hard for those sixty hour weeks and completed successfully. My contract was honored and I was honorably released. And then I was free. The big picture was clear as a beautiful morning in that certain Higher Power's realm.
LDS doctrine is crystal clear that without the cleansing atonement of Christ, no person can expect to live eternally in the place where God resides.
