A humble prayer request for my father, Dick. He was treated for a tumor obstruction in his bladder earlier this year. The cancer spread elsewhere and his lone kidney doesn't work well.
He has started some pain management and is sleeping. He did eat breakfast and lunch today but still needs more nurishment.
He was raised Catholic but my mom is Protestant and we regularly attended services alternately wherever we lived. Please say a prayer for him and my mother who's also going through a tough time dealing with this.
Prayers up.
I’m praying for y’all. In Christ.
Prayers up.
Prayers sent up for him and your family!
You say he is a Catholic but does he have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, in that has he asked Jesus to be his personal Savior?
If not, please encourage both he and your mom to do so NOW!
Prayers for God’s blessings on all.
“we regularly attended services”.
Your mom and dad are Christians,
Prayers for your father and mother
Dear Heavenly Father, We pray for our brother, Dick. Please comfort him during this most difficult time. Please surround him with Your love and compassion. Lord, we also ask that You surround his wife and family with strength and courage. In this we pray. Amen.
Prayers sent. May God bless you all.
I will pray for your father. My father’s name was “Dick” as well-he also had bladder cancer that spread. I’m so sorry you have to go thru this...I really understand.
Prayers up. Also, they should check into Meals on Wheels if they already don’t have it coming to the house.
I’m RC and I will pray for your cherished Dad, and also hope and pray that he will request to have his parish priest visit with him.
A prayer has gone up.
My dad has terminal late stage metastatic prostate cancer and had stopped eating and fell to about 115lb. 3-4 ensures a day is what turned him around. There is also an old anti-depression med (don’t remember the name) that caused users to get fat because it increased appetite, the md should know. good luck.
“He needs more nourishment”
Have you thought about the product called Ensure? They are a bit thick but contain a lot of calories and nutrients. They can also be a bit easier on the stomach if heavier foods upset him.
Prayers up for your father, mother, and all your family.
Prayers for your father and your family.
Sending prayers for all concerned.
He’s been in a rehabilitation center since his release from the hospital several months ago. He’s had his ups and downs but he was doing well with his physical therapist for awhile. I just talked with her and helped reposition him in the bed.
He can answer a question now and then and say a few words. But the narcotic has him sleeping much of the time and groggy.
