Why a candidate’s faith matters

Hearing Mitt Romneys surrogate Bill Bennett refer to me as a bigot and Jon Huntsman call me a moron last week after my controversial comments on Mormonism, amid calls for civility and tolerance in public discourse, reminds me of the exclamation: We will not tolerate intolerance! But beyond the personal insults, I am concerned that these men are attempting to prematurely marginalize religion as a relevant topic in elections. Utilizing such incendiary rhetoric against those of us who dare bring up a candidates spiritual beliefs cuts off discussion about religion before it begins.

Deu 14:28-29 So are we to only give tithes to Hagar and her orphan ?? Normally we only admit refugees from war torn regions by LAW.

Roman Catholics who believe in Jesus are Christian just as much as Messianics who believe in Jesus.
Those who do not in ANY denomination are not Christian.
By “believe”, I mean the john 3:16 definition.
I also think MANY Roman Catholics are believers.

Yes, “the foreigner” is spelled just like the name Hagar. It’s an interesting pun, but you’re still not being clear about what point you’re deriving from this.

Thank you. It is more than tiring to keep butting heads with that guy — he also thinks that all of Christianity was created by Constantine and that Jesus Christ is not God. This, mixed with his strange mumblings, makes you wonder....

True. But as a Catholic I have no problem with supporting a really viable candidate like Cain. He shares my conservative views. Maybe he’ll take Santorum or Gingrich as a VP?

I did. Are you seriously claiming that the Torah, rather than having the needs of the foreigner in mind, had in mind instead the needs of a woman 500 years dead?

If you use the principle of first use,
it would suggest Hagar was first used
for the exiled maid-servant who was party
to YHvH displeasure. The expelled maid-servant and her orphan.
This the same use in Deu 14:29
Only later did it become used for foreigner.
But it retains the original meaning.

and that Jesus Christ is not God.You keep repeating falsehoods Yah'shua is YHvH's Shekinah.
Yah'shua says there is only ONE YHvH.
Not two, or three or a pantheon
including a queen of heaven.
Seek YHvH in His WORD.

The principle of first use does not mean that you get to recombine words to make them fit with your preconceived notions--especially when the meaning of the root is so well known.
Now, I could see a midrashic discussion on the ger within the gates and the relationship of the Matriarch to Hager coming out of that little play-on-words. As a matter of fact, I can see some very interesting parallels already. But that doesn't change the plain-text meaning of the words.
In other words, you're grasping at straws.

.....The Mormon Stock Index.... tries to measure the stock market performance of companies run by Mormon executives. More than 50 companies have been part of the index in its two year history, including more than 30 companies on the index today. Companies are included.. as long as they have a Mormon executive on their management team,.... and as long as the companys public stock market capitalization exceeds $100 million. No surprise there. Look for degrees in theology, or attendance at divinity schools in the info below.
Mormonism is all about the money.

I accept the principle--which is a

Vowel points were not added until 600 CE. I'm studying Hebrew with a Hebrew linguist
and we spent two hours on the word bereshit
forward, backwards and including every two
letter word within for mystical insights.
It will send chills down your spine as to
how tightly written is the WORD
