The First Book of Moses Chapter 18

It's called "Genesis", where Jesus Christ speaks all creation into existence.

So, perhaps you would like to tell us how your peepstone sexual predator of married women came to add more than 800 words to the end of the KJV Book of Genesis, fabricating a prophecy of his ‘coming forth in these latter days’? Clearly you seek to sow confusion and dissonance, pretending to be confused while writing purposed confusion. It is after all the LDS inc way to fertilize the field with denigrating of The Bible and all manifestations of Christianity, in order for Mormonism lies to sprout.

"I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam." - Joseph Smith, Jr.

Historically, that's not a correct statement. Nine sects split from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (originally called the Church of Christ, and also the Church of the Latter Day Saints) before Joseph Smith, Jr.'s death in 1844. At least one, the True Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, split off during Smith's lifetime because it didn't believe in the practice of plural marriage.

Belief in Joseph Smith, Jr. as 'restoring' a One True Church also didn't keep the whole church together after his death. From the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, we now have the following Latter Day Saints denominations (most of which can be traced initially to (a) groups rejecting plural marriage when it was practiced under Smith, Jr. or Brigham Young; (b) disagreement over the successor Prophet to Smith, Jr.; (c) or groups believing in the continuation of plural marriage after the 1890 Manifesto, or after the 1890 Manifesto began to be enforced under the 1904 "Second Manifesto"):

The Corporation of the President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
Short Creek Community
Latter Day Church of Christ
Apostolic United Brethren
Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
Church of the Firstborn of the Fulness [sic] of Times
Church of the Lamb of God
Church of the New Covenant in Christ

The Church of the Firstborn and the General Assembly of Heaven

And the following LDS denominations that are now defunct:

Alston Church

Church of Jesus Christ, the Bride, the Lamb’s Wife

Church of the Firstborn (Morrisite)
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Gibsonite)
Church of Jesus Christ of Saints of the Most High
Church of the Christian Brotherhood
Church of Jesus Christ of the Children of Zion (Rigdonite)
Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ (Bickertonite)
Primative Church of Jesus Christ (Bickertonite)
Church of Christ (Aaron Smith)
Church of the Messiah (Adamsite)
Church of Christ (Wrightite)
Church of Christ (Whitmerite)
Church of Christ (Brewsterite)
The Bride, the Lamb’s Wife
Congregation of Jehovah’s Presbytery of Zion
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Gladdenite)
Independent Latter Day Saints of Nigeria
Independent Latter Day Saints of Ghana
Apostolic Divine Church of Ghana

Just factually - as a historical basis - I'm not certain that would be considered as holding a whole church together.

Besides mentioning "Gods," "Praise to the Man" differs from standard Christian hymnology in that it is in praise of a mortal human being.

In my Methodist faith, as well as all other forms of Protestant Christianity that I know of, hymns are only sung to God, whether it be the father (Father, Lead Me Home), the son (More Love to Thee, O Christ) or the whole trinity (Praise Ye the Triune God). We never sing hymns to anyone else.

I don't know what you are talking about but I consider the King James Version Scripture.

then please tell us the parts that are "translated correctly" bm. And while you are at it, what plain and precious parts have been removed when the evidence is substantial that it has been transmitted throughout the centuries intact.

“Many Mormons need to learn their own history”

Yes, Glenn Beck is so darn stupid; he doesn’t understand anything about history. Poor Glenn.

In MY opinion, and it is playing out right now with Glenn's pay-per-view site Glenn is an opportunist and I have doubts regarding his actual belief of the mormon con.

He's a guy who sees the $$$ potential in mormonism and most especially, he's a guy whom I suspect has used the clannish mormon "help a brother get along" to the utmost in reaching his goals.

In other words, Glenn is as phony as Joseph Smith...he just actually presents some facts in his proselytizing to his followers.

Can this be confusing. I'm

Sorry that I quoted from this book of "fiction".

I'm honestly confessed. Is the whole Bible considered e"fiction" or just the first book ?

Well, the Joey Smith translation of the King James Bible, into King James English with added passages (800 plus words added to the end of Genesis as example) can be considered fiction. I would also count the Joey Smith ‘translation’ of the Egyptian hieroglyphs as fiction, too. How about you, Mormon?

Lets get back the the original assumption .

http://www.ibiblio.org/Bahai/Texts/EN/Genesis/

The First Book Of Moses chapter 18 was declared to be "fiction"

or did I misunderstand.

You are, as usual, confused. If you are confused because you are mistaken is not for me to address. LDS inc depends upon LDS adherents remaining confused and misunderstanding. I have not mentioned Chapter 18 of Genesis.

To: BlueMoose The First Book of Moses Chapter 18 Um, Ok since we are leaving scripture and going to fiction then we can respond with the Fourth Chapter of the Hobbit and still be with in what is referred to as “truth” by LDS standards...... 51 posted on Monday, October 17, 2011 1:13:36 PM by ejonesie22 (8/30/10, the day Truth won.)

This is what I'm addressing.

Trying to be a little deceptive aren't you mixing LDs work into the real McCoy. No one commonly refers to Genesis as the First book of Moses in common conversation, but there is a First Book of Mosses in the fiction LDS “scripture”. There is also the parts where Joe Smith added himself to the Genesis story...

Why such games have to be played.

Don't answer, rhetorical question.

I'll act shocked.

Thanks for the ping...

I make no inference that the KJV of the Masonic Bible is different, rather allude to the pictures which some people have stated were copied by Smith from a printed by a Masonic lodge. Your normal KJV Bible does not always come with pictures - hence my statement.

There are rumors that Smith had association with Masonary.

I have gone all the way to becoming a Shriner - I was only commenting on what I have heard about pictures.

I worked for a 4-Star General/Morman and have some very good friends of that faith. They are thrifty just as the Quakers/Old Order Brether/Almish which you can find along old Nation Hwy One/I-70 thru-out PA, OH, IN and westward.

The Morman religion is just one man's preching to his flock that eventually grew - I have no doubt that they beleive in a single God as well as the Old/New T's.
