You should condemn where ever you see sin, condemn the sin, please do.

- - - -
We are also to condemn false teachings. Heresy is also a sin.

I was trying to make it not personal, this entire thread is personal.

There is nothing wrong with that, you are condemning the behavior again.

False Teaching, False Witness, these are all behaviors to be condemned.

“Interestingly enough a very MORMON answer. And you just failed Christian theology 101.”

It’s not that I’m a Mormon.

Pure, unadulterated Christianity has three parts:
— man-to-God: have faith in God and his plan (be faithful)
— man-to-others: love they neighbor (be good)
— man-to-world: be mentally tough (be stoic)

Most of the rest is fluff, but what people still argue about endlessly.

Actually, there are theories that the Garden of Eden was located where Jerusalem is now.

Aren't THEORIES fun!!

One can say any idiotic thing and call it a 'theory' and not get JUDGED on it!

I heard a THEORY in MORMONism that the moon MIGHT be made of green cheese, since people wearing Quaker style clothing might be found there.

The sin of Adam

We don’t require someone to believe to be subject to this.

Sometimes people change the way they respond if they think you are a “she”. ;-)

Beck openly admits to believing these false teachings. He openly teaches them to others via his media, he proclaims them in his speeches. He puts himself forth as a Mormon, there is nothing wrong with equating him and his religion that way.

I never trusted Beck from the first time I saw him, I didn’t trust what he was saying at all. Hubby loved him but I couldn’t watch him - he gave me the creeps. About 2 months later I found out why. It was an ah-ha moment.

It was posted to expose Mormonism. That doesn’t make it unGodly at all.

Once upon a time it would have been posted in the main forum instead of just the Religion forum.

Actually, there are theories that the Garden of Eden was located where Jerusalem is now... so maybe he did!

Mormons teach he lived in Missiouri. No, I am not kidding, I can source that.

"Open" Religion Forum threads are in a town square format - posters may argue for or against. They may condemn beliefs, dieties, religious leaders, authors, etc.

The ban on "making it personal" applies to individual Freepers.

If a poster said "Jim Jones was crazy" that would not be making it personal. But if he said "you are crazy" that would be making it personal.

Other RF thread types (prayer, devotional, caucus and ecumenical) are restricted.

Click on my profile page for more guidelines pertaining to the Religion Forum.

We are born into it, this maybe something that Catholics believe that some of the other denominations might not believe. Honestly don’t know.

That is why many denominations only have the baptism when you get older, because they believe you have to choose.

We believe you choose to leave the flock, but you are created in it.

Even Jews, Muslims, etc.. have it .. the original sin is there .. it is up to them though to embrace the gift of Jesus to seek forgiveness. Being Saved and being part of the children of God ... his flock are two different things.

The only way you couldn’t be of God’s Creation if you weren’t descended from Adam and Eve and there was an alternative family tree.

If you have ever heard the saying, “we are all God’s Children” that is what is being alluded to.

Refer to the Parables of the Lamb that wanders off for the analogy, you were born but then wandered off, so the shepherd has to find you again and bring you back.

Anyways, I don’t believe that you get a choice, you are and you have chosen to leave the flock and wander off.

To my knowledge nobody has indisputable proof of where the Garden was, and the Bible is not conclusive on the matter either.

Here's a GOOD place to start looking...

Genesis 2:10-15

10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.
11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;
12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.
13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.
14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.
15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

An attack on Glenn Beck, Romney, or Mormonism in general, is an attack on the Right.

Calling us underlings of soros as well - just your standard attempt to silence other voices when they are unable to make the argument themselves.

The attack on Mormons and Mormonism is fueled by the popularity and message of Glen Beck, and the possibility of a nomination of Mitt Romney.

- - - - -
Um...not even close. The threads on Mormonism are pretty constant and have been since long before Mitt Romney and even Beck.

What HAS changed is that we used to be zotted or have posts deleted if we said too much about Mormonism and that has changed here on FR - in part due to Romney. Go back and look at the threads, Mormonism is nothing new on the RF.

I thought I was having a civil discussion about how to be a good Christian.

I will not discuss this any further since you have determined that I am being uncivil.

I really would like to know what you found offensive. Maybe it was in jest or as an example on what not to do.

Have a good day and God Bless!

God Claims us, I don’t think you get a choice in this matter .... you can only deceive yourself.
_________________________________________________

Good thing God doesnt think like you or wed al;l be in trouble

Yes we do get a choice in the matter

to think otherwise is to be deceived...

The LORD Jesus Christ said to dila813, “I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man or woman comes to the Father except be Me.” John 14:6

The LORD Jesus Christ said to dila813, “He that believes (the gospel) and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be damned.” Mark 16:16

Thats a choice kid...

Salvation is not forced onto us...

theres no such thing as universal salvation...

God doesnt make anyone go to Heaven

and He wont keep anyone out of Hell...

We get to choose where we will spend eternity...Heaven or Hell...

and we have to choose BEFORE we die...

That dead dunking stuff is a lie right out of Hell and off the pages of the Mormon doctrine...

Choose you this day whom you will serve. As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD Joshua 24:15

See ???

you get to choose...
