And I expect that now, since youve made such an absolute declaration that he did not see what he claims, that you will prove your assertion using a feasible argument? The nerve of some people, questioning outrageous claims! It's intolerable! This has me quite vexed; therefore, I shall cease solace in the company of my collection of singing potatoes!

**When Bob returned to the hospital, he said he saw a type of purgatory with hundreds of souls all around him. There were an awful lot of them when you looked out the window, they were just wandering, he said.**
If they're being "purged," why are they "wandering" around? Shouldn't they be attending seminars or something?

Some people just think they know everything & are too stubborn to admit that they dont. The first step to changing that is admitting it. Good on you for taking that first step.

I have had bypass surgery- no recall of any afterlife. Check your itemized bill to see if you were charged for a NDE. If they charged you for a NDE, you were gyped.

Did I purport to cite any particular passage verbatim, Elsie...No; you didn't.
...or did I wish to impart the understanding that is repeatedy stated in the Bible?
If it is found REPEATEDLY; then you could provide at least ONE for lurkeers who do not, at this time, yet posess the vast knowledge of scriptures as we do.

I have the book and saw nothing unbiblical. But remember, we do not have the direct aramaic translation of the bible and it is not our basis for truth...the holy spirit is.HMMmm...
Sounds quite MORMONish.

It appears that at least ONE of them (Casper) has been getting WAY too many ‘goodies’!
He’s quite chubby around his ‘arm pit’ area.

” I suspect its because their mind sees what it wants to see.”
That’s exactly right. What we see goes thru the brain. We do know the mind can and does manufacture amazing fantasies which seem real but are not.
So much attention to these people “under” drugs and various other medications. I vote no...not real...but to the person under the influence of drugs, it seems that way.

BTW, according to science, absent brain waves/brain activity there are no dreams. And yet we know that just because the equipment says there is no brain activity, that isn't always the case.

And yet, purgatory, or the term preferred by Evangelicals, "final sanctification" does not "defame Jesus Christ" in any way because
- This is by the blood of Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit, the grace of the Father
- Those who are in this process of final sanctification/purgatory are those who have already been saved by the grace of God, by our Lord and God, Jesus Christ's one-time sacrifice on the cross
- This final sanctification/purgatory is not for the damned as they have already made their choice -- rejecting God
- Those in the final sanctification/purgatory have already accepted God -- as we know each will be rewarded immediately after death based on their choices (note of course that this is for the New Covenant that was sealed with Christ's death on the cross -- all that happened before that, including the good thief's redemption is part of the Old Covenant).
- Those who receive/are in the process of receiving the final sanctificaiton/purgatory are assured of their final salvation by the grace of God, by the power of the Holy Spirit, through the blood of the Lamb, our Lord and God Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross
- This is not a punishment,
- this is not a place
- this is not a period of time
- 1 Pt 3:18-20 "19By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;", 1 Pet 4:6 " 6For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead,", Matt 12:32 "but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come." --> a sin to be forgiven not in this world -- hence sins are forgiven by Christ after death -- and this can't be heaven where there are no sins. Hence there is the final sanctification by the blood of the Lamb before heaven

you are somewhat correct, though
we define the final purification/sanctification/purgatory as
- All who die in God's grace and friendship, but still imperfectly purified, are indeed assured of their eternal salvation;
- but after death they undergo purification (by the blood of the Lamb, the one-time sacrifice of Our Lord and God Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit and the grace of Our Lord, God the Father
- This is not defined as a place or period of time as once dead you are immediately judged and move to heaven or hell. yet we know that some sins are forgiven after death (except for sins against the Holy Spirit), hence they are forgiven before heaven, so we call this final sanctification as purgatory. More than that, it is just speculation and not doctrine

But you can’t go “to” purgatory — it is not a place or a period of time. you can go “through” it, as a final sanctification after death, but it is not a third “place”
