Note that I said "at one time or another"...that means I did get around the rather blatant discrimination that many Mormons practice against their countrymen.
And the grievances that the church promotes to this day that underpins all of that...Nauvoo, the Missouri persecutions, the Emigration, etc.
All of which is really hilarious to me since I'm related to half the pioneer Mormons in Utah due to family members in the Emigration. But uh, still just another Protestant, not a Latter Day Saint...
Garments too tight this morning?
Thanks for showing you know nothing about who Christ really is. Appreciate it.
welcome to America. you have the right to practice any religion you wish, free from persecution
of course, there will be plenty of asshats that think their religion is better then another. ignore them. they’re idiots and have no idea what country they’re in let along what it stands for or how/why it was founded.
one religions magical underpants is anothers funny hats & fish on fridays. whatever. if it works for you, good for you. you have ZER0 right to attack/ridicule another religion.
for the asshats... go google the federalist papers. at the very least, you should read the US Constitution.
try to not move your lips
It all depends on which Jesus Christ you are devoted to. The Jesus Christ of Mormon theology or Yashua of Christianity.
What is it about Mormons that people get so uptight about?
- - - - -
They lead people to hell and lie to their members about their history and doctrine.
And that is just for starters.
And they would start beheding people if they thought they could get by with it just like Islam would do it here if they thought they could.
If the people let us alone, we will preach the gospel in peace. But if they come on us to molest us, we will establish our religion with the sword. We will trample down our enemies and make it one gore of blood from the Rocky Mountains to the Atlantic Ocean. I will be to this generation a 2nd Muhammad, whose motto in treating for peace was the Al-Quran or the sword. So shall it be with us Joseph Smith or the sword! (See History of the Church, Vol. 3, p. 167).
I think that's the idea.
One of the most appealing things about Mormons is the low-life enemies which they have.
I guarantee that you were treated better as a gentile in Utah
....than the LDS people were treated by the local Christians when the Church was centered in New York, Ohio, Illinois and Missouri in the 1800s
- - - - - - -
FAIL, EPIC FAIL. It was the LDS who went in there, determined to take over the politics, who lied, cheated, stole and attacked the gentiles first.
Even down to destroying a printing press because it exposed polygamy.
But the LDS LOVE to play the victim card, even when the facts state otherwise. Your excuse of bad Mormon behavior is appalling and typical of Mormons as is your hatred of Christians.
Regulator, I know where you are coming from, I’ve seen it. And the only thing worst than being a non-Mormon in Utah is being an EX-Mormon.
welcome to America. you have the right to practice any religion you wish, free from persecution

Newsflash you idiot, we have the same right to speak out against that religion. I have a right to ridicule ANY and ALL religion. Freedom of Religion works both ways - try reading the constitution yourself.
BTW, I suspect by your comments that you are a liberal (free speech for you but not for those who disagree with you).
I also suspect you know NOTHING about what Mormonism really teaches.
Id sooner be ruled by an entire senate and house of Mormons than I would have even one Muslim there.
I’ve lived in “all Mormon” communities. It’s hard to describe to anyone that hasn’t experienced that. One thing that becomes obvious is that there is a world of diffence between my Mormon neighbors, and those I meet in the community, and the Mormon heirarchy. I wish there was a way to discuss that without vitreol.
If Mitt Romney were to become President it wouldn’t be any different than electing, for example, George Soros. Mitt would bring an influence into the White House that would be dangerous for our country.
Sometimes, choosing flavor “B” over flavor “A” is not the solution.
The heirarchy is not about religeon, but about control in the worst way.
I’m a nobody. Don’t take my word for it. Research.
Yet there you are on thread after thread, fighting the Mormon fight, and attacking Christians.
Well said and accurate.
you’re so delusional you don’t realize you’re attacking another person’s choice of religion
go to iran if you want to push religious wars
that attitude is not American and is not welcome here. never has been... never will.
the country was founded by people running from people like you.
your attitudes are as anti-American as it gets
I see the low-lifes on the opposite side, the Mormonism side attracts freerepublic's atheists, anti-social conservatives, anti-Christians, ex Romneybots, current Romneybots, and anti-conservative bottom feeders of every stripe, in huge numbers.

Actually the country was founded by people that were more strict on, and less forgiving about religion than we are today.
As far as Mormonism goes the federal government had to step in against them in the 1800s.

yes, the puritans were more strict... that doesn’t matter. the point was they fled religious persecution and helped found a country within which ALL citizens are free to practice / worship how they see fit
free from persecution
which is what this thread is attempting to do
personally, i see these threads on FR as phoney libtards posing as fringe Christian types attacking mormons in an attempt to divide the conservative base. they went into overdrive when Romney was running. looks like they’re ramping up again
That post was weird, they created the religion of Mormonism, because if they did, then Christians would not like them, so they had to created the religion of Mormonism in response?
