This is sad. This is why I choose to worship at a Bible believing, fundamental, evangelical Baptist Church. I often hear criticism from people saying this Baptists think they are the only ones going to Heaven. You can’t just cherry pick the portions of the Bible you want. The fundamentals of the Faith are just that. They are the foundation of Christianity. We are never saved because we belong to a club or congregation. It is simpler than that. We are saved if we ask Jesus to forgive us. He alone could pay the penalty for sin. He alone showed us what Love is. At the very least I could pay some respect and believe what He chose to reveal to us.

yes, as I pointed out in post 1, the Presbyterian in the USA denomination has more than halved from it’s max 4.25 mil in the 60s. And it has lost 3% membership each year for the past 3-4 years and is now 2 million

That reminds me of an old joke about that. Baptist preacher introduces himself as the new pastor at the local baptist church to which the person inquires, "is that the narrow-minded demonination that thinks they're the only group going to heaven?" The preacher replies, "Oh it's worse than that; I don't even think most baptists are going to heaven."

sorry, but that's just what the Baptists did....Catholicism predates the Baptists by 1,500 years or more...Along came the "reformation"(revolution) and the protestants picked and chose as each denomination viewed things diffferently By the way, to all the do-gooders out there....that Minister, if he is not participating in homosexual behavior.is not sinning...having homosexual leanings is not the sin, acting on them is
