After many days you (Jews scattered around the world from 2000 years ago) will be sum-moned; in the latter years you will come into the land (Israel) that is restored from the sword, whose inhabitants have been gathered from many nations to the moun- tains of Israel which had been a continual waste; but its people were brought out from the nations, & they are living securely, all of them.” (since 1948). Ezek.38:8)

Well, if true, and I'm not saying that you are, then that makes it 1948. How many prophesies have we had since the year 990 that the end of the world was nigh? I thought that the finals years numbered 7. That would make it 1955. Did the world really end in 1955 and we didn't notice?

Let's see: Ezekial 38 also speaks of Persia and Cush and Put.

Persia is Iran. It was actually Babylon (Iraq) that Israel had the most trouble with, after Syria and Egypt.

Cush is Sudan. Right now, they couldn't care less about Jews - they are interested in killing off the Christian and animist South Sudanese who just came into existence and are putting their entire $1000 GDP towards that effort.

Put is Libya. I don't know if Gadhaffi is still alive, but the entire country of Libya couldn't take a pawn in a game of chess.

Zechariah 12:3 On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves....

Israel is not alone in the world. Canada is firmly in her corner - the only conservative country left in North America. I think that end times prophets usually wind up looking like some Jedediahs that we all know of. I trust that you have not made that leap.

Thanks for sharing that. I can see the King of Kings returning in a spectacular way.

Matthew 24 has that verse. It’s been discussed hereon fairly endlessly. --Q.

It says nothing as definitively as you would indicate.

I wonder which is prior, the epistemological problem or the eschatology.

I think that it has a whole lot to do with the problem of YOPIOS. Protestants may choose what they believe, and then select those snippets that appear to support those beliefs. I believe that Sola Yourselfa has been coined and is particularly applicable...

Jesus did show up this morning. He’s out there cutting my lawn as I type. Great price and great service. Nice guy too, don’t know his immigration status though.
