NTEB has reported extensively on the growing Chrislam movement. Started by Rick Warren of Saddleback Church, it has grown dramatically and now has infected many hundreds of churches and denominations all across America. A group called Faith Shared is now spearheading the move to merge Christianity with Islam, and in the process provoking the very judgment of God down upon us as a nation. The following is taken directly from their website:
Faith Shared asks houses of worship across the country to organize events involving clergy reading from each others sacred texts. An example would be a Christian Minister, Jewish Rabbi and Muslim Imam participating in a worship service or other event. Suggested readings will be provided from the Torah, the Gospels, and the Quran, but communities are encouraged to choose readings that will resonate with their congregations. Involvement of members from the Muslim community is key. We will also provide suggestions on how to incorporate this program into your regular worship services. And we will assist local congregations in their media and communications efforts.

So you can show us how it is a common Catholic garment the woman was wearing when she gave this ‘anointing’ to The Pope? It sure looks like the garment worn by the Shiva Priestesses ...
This is not "a garment worn by the Shiva Priestesses" -- for that matter the priests of the Shaivites are male -- Hindus only recently allowed some women pandits (those are the ones reciting shlokas) -- they haven't had women priestess, especially not for Shiva, the God of Destruction
The differences in the sari folds are regional, not religious.
Brahmins trace their lineage by the male "gotra" lineage
The new women's priestesses dating from the 80s onwards are all purohits or pandits reciting shlokas and none of these are of the Shaivites (worshippers of Shiva).
You have different kinds of saris like the Maharashtrian
And the bengali
and the parsi
and the Odiya and the Assamese etc. etc.
Is it so unusual for a person to wear what women wear in that nation? Do you expect them to wear shorts in a conservative place like India?
The lady was a Catholic lady of Indian origin.
Sheesh, people have no idea about other languages or cultures or national dresses and put their own closed-minded ideas on what they think they see..
The shape of the garment is the sari, but the pattern evident on the material may be another matter.
Your use of excessive hyperbole hints at your agitation. And MH&G are my initials, not ‘thing’. Not being in the mood to deal with your petty insults, I’ll just bid you good day and ignore this thread and you.
Rick Warren of Saddleback hosted some kind of event for baraq and mccain. I remember seeing video of that event and barak and rick seemed to be very comfortable with each other. Body language. Though that Warren’s church was picked for some reason, but didn’t put too much thought into it. Now we know.
Glenn Beck has been warning for some time now that the rats will start infesting our churches.
but Beck is a kook and baraq is a christian.
have you ever been to india? have you ever seen a Hindu pandit/purohit? Leave alone the rare female ones -- have you ever seen a male one?
Secondly, do you know that Shiva is the hindu god of destruction (down to the Nataraja etc.), hardly a place for women -- take one state of India (with it's own language, history, culture, even race): Tamil Nadu, the Iyers are mostly Shaivites and Iyengars are Vaishnavites. Vaishnavites are vishnu worshippers. Iyengars tend to worship Vishnu exclusively to the complete neglect sometimes derision of other gods. Iyers follow the tenets of the Shrutis and Smritis but hold Shiva in pre-eminence.
This is what a Shaivite priest looks like
Note that just as the god shiva is an ascetic who is normally depicted in the robes of a sanyasi, namely just a loincloth, with ashes and long hair, protected by a many-headed serpent, shaivite priests wear ashes across their foreheads with loincloths and bare chests
Huh, that’s odd. No mosques on the list.
"The shape of the garment is the sari, but the pattern evident on the material may be another matter." -->that's equally laughable, the only patterns are standard ones on a sari
have you ever been to India? Or seen anyone in a sari?
Did you know that Evangelical, Baptist, Moslem etc. women in India wear saris?
Rick Warren started this? How come his church isn’t on the list?
I smell a rat.
I think that the owners of TBN deserve pig-piling equal to what Warren is getting. If they’re supporting Warren’s blasphemy by firing Van Impe, they’re part of the problem. Disgusting people...
They need to be FReeped.
oh, and I apologize if you think I said thing, I mis-spelt "think", so Finally, why would your post, Mhg thing that what a woman wears in the US is the same worldwide? should actually have read
Finally, why would your post, Mhg thinK that what a woman wears in the US is the same worldwide?
New Age. They believe ... Jesus was a good teacher.
God help us in our day, in Jesus name, amen.
Tyranny. Enslavement.
And the plan to get rid of 5 Billion people.
Called depopulation.
People are gullible enough to move in this direction and their on annihilation.
The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place among whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day (Catechism of the Catholic Church, paragraph 841, quoting Lumen Gentium 16, November 21, 1964).
How could Catholics and Muslims worship the same God since Muslims deny the Trinity, the Sonship and the Deity of our Lord?
Quite frankly, the statement that Catholics and Muslims adore the same God is false. It should be evident to every Catholic who has complete confidence in the infallibility and unchangeableness of the Roman magisterium, that in fact the Vatican's teaching on this matter has changed and that it is both fallible and mistaken.
