Male bashing and the false premises that lead to it

How do we defend fatherhood in a culture that seems to alienate fathers thru false premises and downright lies?

It can’t be just me. I read online of men complaining that they’ve been marginalized in a society that — let’s face it folks — would not have advanced to the point it has without the spirit, competitiveness, drive, desire and even the testosterone of men.

A recent report by the Heritage Foundation points to statistics that suggest children growing up in homes where both mom and dad are present and active are less likely to engage in risky behaviors and tend to do better socially and academically than their single-parent home peers.

I don’t give a rat’s a$$ whether society in general respects me or not. People who know me respect me. People who just know my sons respect me. My ex-wife, the mother of my two sons, even respects me.

My two sons respect me and they love me, and that is all I really care about. Furthermore, both of my sons have a very keen understanding of just how upside down and screwed up popular culture really is. That is the crown jewel of my efforts to ridcule and marginalize all of these self-appointed gurus of the enlightened modern culture. My sons and I recognize them for what they are: self-absorbed, shallow idiots. True wisdom evades them.
