When the world didn't end on May 21, many people who had given up their earthly possessions were left with nothing.
But one believer never lived to see the day. She left nearly her entire estate - around $300,000 - to the group behind the failed prediction, leaving some family members out in the cold.
Eileen Heuwetter was shocked to find out that her aunt left the majority of her estate to Family Radio, the group responsible for the doomsday warnings that the world would end on May 21. She and her sister were each left $25,000 from their aunt's estate. The rest is going to Family Radio.

Benny Hinn and Jesse Duplantis were smarter con-men than Harold Camping. They figured out that you can get more money from the normal “I went to heaven and comforted Jaysus” than by the regular “Da welt is gonna end”.

Well, they don’t call him the “Doomsday Profit” for nothing, you know.
Others’ doom is his profit.

For some people, their world did end when the rapture didn’t occur as scheduled.

I lost my inheritance I hate to break this to you, Twinkles, but it was her money to do with as she pleased not your inheritance. She could have left it to her pet parakeet if she wanted.

It wasn’t “her” inheritance in the first place if the aunt never left it to her.
If the aunt’s will was that her executors should pile up her money in a big bonfire and have a marshmallow roast, that’s the aunt’s right because it’s the aunt’s money.
I’ll bet the woman complaining is a Democrat, she feels entitled to take money of other people and line her pocket with it.

ACTUALLY,
For all his flaws,
he’s never taken a penny of ministry money for himself. He’s a 100% volunteer.
And, he’s spent a sizeable chunk of his sold construction business in behalf of the ministry.

Did Camping end up paying such blokes a token amount?
Better than nothing. He could have done more.

I did not know that.
What does he do with the millions of dollars he collects from old ladies suffering from senile dementia?

Yep, they both figured out that you can shear a sheep many times but you can only skin it once.
To: circlecity; Quix
True. Hinn and Jesse shear their dumb sheep followers quite often — have you heard the story of Benny Hinn getting ticked off because HE got robbed in Nigeria? Talk of duping the duper!

Like Rome accumulating wealth from dumb sheep who think they can spring a loved one from purgatory by paying indulgences for special masses.
