Featured Term (selected at random):
Giving the meaning or explanation of something, as of a doctrine, law, or statement of purpose. It is authentic when given by the Church's teaching authority and calls for obedient acceptance by the faithful; doctrinal when the Church exercises her magisterial right to teach the way of salvation; broad when the explanation of a law favors liberty; and narrow when the explanation limits human freedom.

Catholic Word of the Day Ping!
If you arent on this Catholic Word of the Day Ping list and would like to be, please send me a FReepmail.
2 Peter 1:20-21 (KJV)
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
I have tried to explain to people that “you are a Catholic or you ain’t.” If you want to do buffet-style religion, become a Protestant.
Few understand — which is frustrating when it is the CATHOLICS who don’t understand.
I at least was honest enough to realize I ain’t (I know, Salvation, you constantly remind me the door is open — but that is a discussion for another day).
