LibreOuMort and the rest of sionnsar's family would like to thank everyone profusely for their ongoing labor in prayer on Sion's behalf. Please, carry on, and kindly ping her to your replies.
Sion continues much the same, and the prognosis is not heartening, but God has not yet weighed in on the matter, so we persevere in prayer according to all that we have been promised, and claim these among them:
12 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
— John 14:12-14 NKJV
In that spirit, I met this evening LibreOuMort and her daughter at the hospital along with my wife, pastor, and another man from my church at whose hands God has healed others. We talked together, prayed, and then were allowed in by twos to see Sion. Thus, by turns, we all laid hands on him and prayed for the restoration of his health, for the restoration of his mind, and for his awakening; calling the things that are not as though they were, for it is our confession that we walk by faith, not by sight; and making petition to the Father by the Name of Jesus.
I would love to report that Sion arose and walked out of the hospital with us this evening. That didn't happen, but not for lack of expectation. And yet, the atmosphere of the room was changed, as if something were moved in the heavens, so we are encouraged.
LibreOuMort is steadfast in her faith, and the sense of all present was that God would have us all persist in these same prayers until we prevail, or He tells us otherwise. So I pass on to all you Freepers of faith this same word: persevere in prayer that Sion be awakened to wholeness of both mind and body, and continue as you have life and breath until either you prevail, or God Himself gives you leave.
The family will have a confab with the doctors tomorrow (Wednesday, June 1) at 1:30pm Pacific Time, to discuss what is known, and what the medical options are going forward. Pray strength for the family to hear doctors say difficult things. Pray that their faith not be shaken, nor their hope dimmed. If you can, set a reminder, or an alarm, and be in prayer for them at that same time the meeting is going on.
10 But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness.
11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
Romans 8:10 & 11, NIV
Father, we agree that Your Word is True in all respects, and declare it so now for our friend, sionnsar, that You, Who raised Christ from the dead, will also give life to his mortal body by Your Spirit, which dwells within him in Christ Jesus.
Amen.
Continuing prayers.
Thanks for the update.
Still praying.
I am praying with you.
In Jesus’ Holy Name.

Remembering our friend sionnsar and his family in a trying and difficult time. May God’s Spirit fill him and grant healing and peace.
Renewing prayers from here. Thanks for the update.

Again lifting up Sionnsar and his family in prayer, to the God who is never far from us, who made heaven and earth, the sea and all that fills it, in whom we live and move and have our being.
In all things may the Name of Christ be glorified. Amen.
Amen.
My dear FRiend sionnsar is still in the hospital (see update at post #349) and he and his family really need all of our prayers.
Please post your responses to sionnsar and LibreOuMort (his wife).
Thank you and God Bless.
By the prayers of St. Justin of Celije, O Lord Jesus Christ, heal my cyber-friend whom I know as Sionnsar, and strengthen his family!
St. Justin (Popovic) of Celije is a newly-glorified (2010) Orthodox saint, who has performed many healings. People make pilgrimages to his grave in order to be healed. And he is a strong Serbian saint, whose writings I love.
St. Justin is a saint to whom I pray every day. Today—June 1—is the day of his commemoration!
I hope and pray that June 1, 2011 can be the day that brings healing to Sionnsar. Lord have mercy!
Prayers continue
Prayers for restoration of health in body and mind to your Sionnsar, in the Name of Our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen
Thank you for keeping us informed. Prayers continue for Sionnsar and family.
Continuing prayers for dear Sionnsar and his family. That they all receive God’s mercy and protection in all ways.
Thanks for the update. Will continue to pray.
I wish it was better news, but I'm still pulling for him and his wife.
Stange thought on my end: He’s having a conversation.
Prayers continue.
