The president intends to argue that bin Laden's death, paired with popular uprisings sweeping North Africa and the Middle East, signal that the time has come to an end when al Qaeda could claim to speak for Muslim aspirations. What an ignoramus. The uprisings in the Middle East have several causes and no one knows which is the most prevalent and which groups and causes will eventually prevail. Whether it's al Qaeda, or the Muslim Brotherhood, or just a majority of Koran believing Muslims, I doubt many in the US will be pleased with the message that is eventually sent to the US and the world, whoever is speaking for "Muslim aspirations".
